The last little while i've been trying to cook indian food, with some success and, well, some failures. The dishes usually turn out pretty decent, it's the naan bread that doesn't turn out great. And i'm torn between baking and frying. Either way my apartment ends up smokey.

Anyone have any tips or experiences they can pass down?

yum! i salute you for trying to cook indian food. i like to do so sometimes, it's always a little bit depressing because i can't get it just *quite* right...

my tips - make sure you make the spice flavouring from scratch (but of course you would, you man of refinement you!) because if you just use curry powder + coriander or something, meh.. not so authentic

i guess my tips suck cause i can't cook 'real' indian food, but i like to dream about it... drool
