Beer Lovers!

2 weeks ago on my lunch I walked into this U Brew on Clark Dr. and decided to give it a shot. Pretty much you pick a beer from a list of about 30 or 40 and they do all the brewing. Come back 2 weeks later and bottle or can yourself.

One batch gives you about 150 cans (about a buck a beer)

So have you ever tryed a U Brew? How did it turn out and where did you go?

Mine turned out much better than expected!

I've helped my parents brew beer and make wine at home for years.

Totally a great deal if you find a good kit that you like. You can tweak the recipies slightly and make them stronger or weaker etc.

I use to work at a wine cellar making wine kits all day.. and wine coolers... wasn't too shaby... some turned out quite tasty! it was the best when my boss and i would make the wine coolers for ourselves and add a bottle of tequilla to the mix. oddly enough.... it didnt taste bad.. actually quite good! Mmmmmmm i miss them.

yet to do the U brew with beer.... i should def look into that.

Yeh it can be hit and miss depending on how well you brew it yourself, or how they brew it for you. Also i believe we had trouble once with how the cans sealed. They didn't hold carbonation very well. Bottles fixed that. We mainly just did it for camping and things like that but it saved a lot of cash.

we made these Margarita wine coolers and added tequilla to it... So good. And I'm not one to like coolers... eck. Also did a Citrus cooler with vodka... Hrmmm.... I should really go hit that up again.
