Chicago (IL) - In a recent Fox News interview, Bush shared his affection for iPods, showed off his iPod and revealed a portion of his playlist. He said he often slips his iPod Shuffle in his pocket, and jogs, concluding that "it's a pretty high-tech stuff". Then Bush grabbed his iPod and ran through some of the artists on his playlist, reading them aloud; The Beach Boys, Alan Jackson, Alison Crowe, The Angels, Aretha Franklin, The Beatles ... Wait a minute: The Beatles?

As far as we know, the legendary British pop band isn't yet available on iTunes or any other download service. The only way that Bush could have acquired these songs would be to rip Beatles CDs on his own. Last year, RIAA decided that it may be illegal to rip CDs and put them on your iPod. The music industry took its rigid stand on ripping last October, when Jammie Thomas was ordered to pay $220,000 for sharing 24 songs online. Sony BMG's chief of litigation, Jennifer Pariser, testified: "When an individual makes a copy of a song for himself, I suppose we can say he stole a song."

1) AFAIK, Beatles are now available on ITMS
2) There are more legal download sites available other than Apple's, and the only reason The Beatles weren't on iTunes is because the company who owns iTunes had the same name as The Beatles' distribution label (Apple) and legally they aren't supposed to be distributing music without clearing the name with the people who had the name first.

The stupidity and his texan demeanor is just a carefully crafted public image (he wasn't even born in texas but just promotes how he lived there all the time). It's part of the reason he came to power by appealing to evangelicals and that base of voters. lols @ this comment, shows how clueless and secluded he is:

"He asked me how it was going, what with the economy bouncing back. I said that if things didn't pick up soon, I was going to have to close up shop and work for my uncle in Youngstown," Reinard said. "George was quiet for a while after that. Then he told me about when his second oil company was going under. He suggested using my connections to get some outside investment capital."

"I don't have any connections," Reinard added.

When the conversation reached a dead end, Reinard and Bush were silent once again, their eyes tracking the game.
