Clinton won't concede until Obama slaps her in the face.
Clinton will just go hide in her little corner and be quiet, let the Obamanation Train pass by. 48hours later she'll be herself and ruin the party by quietly converting Obama's superdelegates to change their minds and vote for her. Or she'll fight her way to be the VEEPEE then once they're in office, all that assassination rhetoric will come to play, Obama will be knocked off and she will be the next POTUS and Billy Clinton will be the VEEPEE (sarcasm) Last edited by narc; Jun 03, 08 at 11:04 AM. |

nah I don't think clinton can swallow her pride enough to be VP.
Thanks for getting me all excited RAWB lol. The media has been speculating since yesterday about this being imminent. I can't wait for her to drop out, so sick of her. Her crazy supporters are giving McCain a lot of firepower. I hope she's happy that she's chipping away at the democratic party just for her own pride. Michigan and Florida? Give me a break she was the only one on the ballot in Michigan. Her strategists are just putting a spin on the issue and putting the spot light on the crazy protesters. She isn't winning the popular vote, she's construing it ugh. If she wins the nomination by some sort of technicality i'm going to be pissed, highly doubt it though. |

Then again, there have been a couple of people in the line of succession who were not born in America and as such would not be able to succeed, but they're like #14 on a list of 17. Interestingly enough, if all 18 people on that list (including the president) died there's nothing in the American constitution for succession after that. As a result, if those 18 people are EVER in the same building at the same time, everybody turns around and runs in separate directions. |

Putting Clinton on the ticket is a baaad idea like you said. Plus the show of unity wouldn't be there with how long this battle has been drawn out. I still couldn't see her excepting a VP position though there is a lot of speculation that she is holding out for this.

haha well what do you know i just saw a headline saying senator clinton is open to VP slot according to NY lawmakers. Still such a bad idea because her persistence in the nomination was the main thing she had going for her after all those "PR" (wtf fnk won't let you write P R ) fumbles. If the Obama camp takes her on the ticket then it'll just ruin the campaign. How are they supposed to show unity now and what about all the disenfranchised Clinton supporters. Will be interesting to see what happens, she's invested a mass amount of personal money into this campaign.

Her taking a VP slot goes against the determined leader image she was trying to portray compounded by Bill speaking for her. They would have to spin it as a benefit for the greater good of the party etc etc and do a lot of damage control.

Well it could happen, crazier things have happened in US politics lol. I'm just praying it doesn't happen and that it's a horrible idea for both the democratic party and for Hilary's political image. I can see the slam ads now. Cue Hilary saying how she'd never concede, Cue in-party bickering, Cue senile image of McCain as a true American war hero/leader.
