American political adds in canada

sunday i was driving back from the tsawwassen(lol) ferry terminal and along the stretch of billboards i noticed a political one that read

'OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT'

wtf is up with that?

last i checked this is Canada. a sovereign COMMONWEALTH nation.

american network tv i can understand but our billboards?

whats next, campaign adds on tsn and cbc?

I think this issue has a great effect on Canada, so I have no problem with Obama ads here. They would just be retarded Coke/Pepsi ads anyway. It's not like the space was going to be used in a much more productive manner. It's certainly odd, though.

well i mean you look at nafta, the amero, plans for the north american union, the Spp, on and on and on it seems if you follow those trends within a generation or two a northamerican general election could happen....

I see Canada getting annexed by the states sooner than a NA-union happening.

I however see Venzuela, Colombia and Cuba having something to say if they tried to do that to Mexico though.

It would definitely have to be an annexation of Canada. There wouldn't be enough popular support for us join with the US.

Although with Bush's impending defeat I think we can breathe a little easier about that.

a toss of northamerican union into the old googler and it comes back hot with all sorts of interesting reports,articles and editorials.

bottom line is the concept, and the ground work for its implementation is there.obviously it will take time. but it only takes one or two crops of little school children accepting it as a norm for it to happen

they could say whatever they want, mexico is the only country in a real position to bargain equally with the U.S. militarily, economically or politically, those three countries you mentioned have almost nothing to offer in the defense of their own countries.


chavez is just a mouthpiece who relies on the military for backing. The current politicians in colombia owe their survival to american military support and cuba is one mistake away from having the entire country raped by all the cuban exiles in miami, it'll make russia in the 90's look good.

Its more likely that mexico will annex the southern United States then the other way around.
