yo,

i wanna 1 bedroom apartment in the downtown area for around 1k-1.2k per month, it would be tite if it had a den with access to a vent or window because i want to grow hydroponic marijuana and i need some space for it. id prefer a concrete apartment because sometimes i bump gangstarr tracks at 4am on a weekday, i also might have to shoot some one and since gunshots are loud i dont want to upset my neighbours. im a considerate sociopath.

im not willing to have a roommate and im a quiet professional other then the hydroweed, hip hop and gun shots.

anyone know where i can find rental listings

When I was looking for an apartment I took a couple days off and drove/walked around taking down the numbers for places that had vacancies and the numbers for some places that didn't. Most buildings downtown are controlled by property management companies that manage multiple locations, usually you only have to call one or two before you'll find an apartment that fits your needs.

Plus a property management company will avoid checking up on you as much as possible.

get your ass down here and go for a walk and jot down phone numbers, seriously the only way to do it. the gems are usually not posted online/papers.

Is that house next to Madame Cleo's vacant (Richard's)? It tends to go through a lot of people. I've known 2 different groups of people that lived there at different times.
Although, I've heard that the place is haunted.

As mentioned, above, your best bet is to just hoof it around downtown and look for signs. Just like in Kits, the best places don't get advertised. It's always word-of-mouth or just a li'l sign in a window.

like bev said go for a walk, i've always liked to wind through the residential west end and all you see is signs out saying vacancy or not. i'd think that would be the best way to do it.

Walking is the way to do it. When you find a place on there your competing with five people for it, rather then on craigslist where the person who lists it has gotten a hundred calls by 3pm and at this point hates everything that shitty site has brought on their doorstep.

Finding my place was 3 days of concentrated effort, and I was lucky. Emailing stuff off craigslist while at work, and calling numbers of places that I found the night before.
