Great white shark diving no more

So after giving it a lot of thought, I've decided to cancel my white shark diving trip and take it next year.

I realized that even though diving with sharks would be fantastic, I thought being prepared would be even better for a more enjoyable experience. So, I signed up through IDC to take the padi e-learning and have been doing quite well. I finished up my fourth session and on to my fifth with a pool dive in the near future, hoping to be certified by august

I think I just want to get back into diving and going on a great white shark expedition would give me too much fuel to take open water courses, which I wouldn't be able to do till 2009.

more importantly, shortly after signing up for white shark, i found a link to go six gill shark diving on hornby island. which requires advanced open water. I think an encounter with one of the most rare sharks that barely anyone has seen sounds like a more interesting trip.

I'm down to dive anytime. Just let me know. I'll take you on 1 or 2 easy dives and see where your skill level is and we can decide what kind of dives we can do from there. (If your wanting to practice skills or learn new techniques, let me know).

The dry suit course has good knowledge, but honestly its nothing you can't learn in a few hours in a dry suit with an experienced diver instead of paying for the course. You don't need a cert card for dry suits either.

Vis' in the winter out here is amazing. I prefer diving in winter and Ice Diving has been a favorite activity of mine for a while now! If your down to go Id be happy to take you.

Yeah, i'd probably be looking at some whyte cliff action this year for beginners. I certainly dont want to cross my 60 ft boundaries though, it'll happen next year advanced or not.
Just want to get a feel for it this year and work my way down slowly.

I'd be renting all my gear this year so we would have to make a stop by IDC.
