How do you deal with crazy neighbours

i came to water my parents gardens and i watered past 9 am, i watered until 10! horrible eh

so the crazy neighbours who have taken every opportunity to beef with my parents called the city.

so, when the city fellow comes to my door, nice as can be, I am postive that this neighbour will be listening to every word.

so i say in a loud voice after some friendly chat, Yeah that guy is a real peice of work, total nut bar, sorry he had you come out.

aha the guy laughs and tells me to shussh, and what i already now, that the neighbour is outside and had already tried to wave him over.

i laugh and tell him again loud, yeah he is always up to something, total nerd.

afterward, i see the neighbour walk right up to him as he is getting back in his truck. LOL

He gave me a really cool magnat, with allowed water times on it.

I have this theory about retaliation though, I think it fucks with the laws of karma and the person lands up getting off easy in the grande scheme of things. I dont generally resort to revenge and when I have it has never felt great. I believe in karma, people get what they give, I have no doubt.

I've actually always had nice neighbours so im not really sure what I would to do..
