I thought I wanted to be living the sterotypical white pickett fence, big diamond ring, lululemon Mum life by 25 but the closer I get the more I realize common-law, backpacker hippie Mum is more my style.
I think Im as settled down as Im ever going to be. |

Girl, 32-35 does not equal old and haggard. The last 4 guys I've dated have been 30-40 (I'm 23 for the record) and only one was loaded. 3/4 are pretty darn attractive. Guys do have a longer shelf-life lol.
Also, I would like to point out to everyone that this is the most mature and articulate we have ever seen ragga_whore in an fnk argument. She gets my props for that. |

I don't think that making set plans about these kinds of things is practical, at least when it comes to children.
I can't exclusively say that I want to have a kid by 30 because I want to be established before I even think about having children. It really depends on school, obtaining a stable career and how my life progresses. That being said, ideally all of that would fall into place in the 30-35 age range. From a biological standpoint I would start to get concerned at about 35 because as a woman you never really know when menopause is going to take place. With marriage, at this rate I can see it happening in the next several years. My fiance proposed to me in August and I'm really happy with how things have progressed. We haven't set a date but we both decided that it would be within a year of finishing school. It's strange because I thought of all my friends I would be the last to settle down and follow a totally unconventional route but I really like how things have turned out. There's something really comforting in at least believing that I can have a successful marriage and a great family one day. I think too often we lose sight of anything even remotely traditional because of negative experiences and cynicism. |
