most (physically) painful thing that has happened to you?

Tough call for me between lumbar puncture (a.k.a. spinal tap) and the infection that I got that time I accidentally put I.V. fluid in my eyes. Never had kidney stones, but heard they're a real doozy (supposedly worse than childbirth)

I snapped my collar bone while skiing.

The hike back out to the main trail area nearly made me black out; but that was nothing compared to when they reset it in the hospital.

Couldn't take a deep breath, couldn't lay on my right side, pain running from under my ribs up my back to my shoulder.

It's not funny or interesting, but probably one of the two times I've been jumped. One landed me in a coma and permanent nerve damage in my face and the other left me with broken ribs. Still can't feel much on my left cheek.

This happened to me in 1999... ugh.

Or actually, when I shattered the tip of my Middle Finger in a door while drunk in 2007. That was blindingly painful when it happened.

In grade one I was removing a battery from a gameboy when the wrapping came off on the bottom and battery acid sprayed on my face and left eye.

Last year I had ecoli which is 100 times worse than food poisoning and things happen to you that you'll want to forget.

heartbreak, it was actually physically painfull and lasted for awhile, i guess im just a wimp.

anyway all the other experiences i can't remember to well i guess for me physical pain doesn't hurt as much as emotional

take a pick of number shoulder dislocations.

most painful had to be on seymour mtn. and the time it took to get me to the hospital was 2 hrs. with a shoulder dislocated at rib height. so much pain i kicked the paramedic in the head (not on purpose of course) get to the hospital and the nurse couldnt find my vein to give me morphine. she leaves to find another nurse and in the meantime the dr comes along and puts my arm back in place. i scream and he looks at my iv and says "they hadnt given you anything yet???"

the surgery wasn't any better.

I haven't had much for major injuries. One time I broke my wrist in 3 places and fractured it in 4 at the same time, but that didn't really hurt that much.

Probably the shittiest injury I had was a mild concussion. Got that playing basketball when a 6'4" 240lb guy got a rebound and didn't know I was behind him. When he turned around his elbow caught me right under the chin. I remember falling down but I don't remember hitting the floor. I had brutal headaches, major fatigue, and an inability of concentrate (basically, even though I'd be paying attention, a lot of times things would literally go in one ear and out the other) for about a month. If a mild concussion is that bad, I'd hate to see what a more serious concussion would do.

Doom once tore the cartilage between his ribs while sneezing, that was some painful and mildly amusing shit. Also, the aneurysm he's about to have for posting on fnk.

I tore my back muscle that comes around the front in the middle (rhomboids?) a couple of Summers ago playing Soccer. It felt like I got hit by a truck. The walk home was brutal, and the next couple of days I had problems breathing because of it.

I think I pulled that muscle last night in net. Twisting too much to make the far save. I could barely get my gear off, and it's still killing today. Two extra strength advils. I have a semi final game tomorrow, and I'm concerned.

Funny how easy the chin can split eh? I took an uppercut from a friend in a hockey game. I should have a got a stich or two but didn't want my parents to find out I was in another fight......... I miss midget!

Large stenciled branding of a 7 on back of my right calf with a red hot cauterization pen. Unlike a strike branding they drew it in with the pen. It took 3 passes to clean up the edges. They had to schedule it in after store hours cuz the smell of burning flesh was so putrid. Huge endorphin rush.

But then there was the healing process where I had to peel and scrub the wound with brushes every day to make sure the scar would raise.
