amount of time I spend cleaning somehow exceeds amount of time I spend not cleaning

So here are my calculations:

Between sleeping, bathing and doing various sedentary activities (internetting, video gaming, writing letters of complaint) I have about 3 hours of "general puttering-around time" at home. However, I somehow manage to spend 2 of those 3 hours cleaning (daily.) How is it possible in ONE hour to make a mess that involves TWO hours of cleaning? What am I, a fucking human hurricane?

It most likely has to do with the layout of your environment. Some homes just accumulate clutter faster.

i find that the more shit people have, the more it tends to clutter. its nice being somewhat of a minimalist and avoid buying things that are really of no use.

its interesting to see that all the things you mentioned (internetting, video gaming, writing letters of complaint) are things that i can't see making much of a mess. did you squeeze in some arts and crafts in there somewhere?

Actually yes, I literally just finished making a 3D version of Snakes and Ladders for the rats (Carlitos has a bum knee and needs the excercize, doesn't like going to the park) Now there's sawdust, nails and bits of wire *everywhere* Other than that though, I'm a total minimalist.
