Sat's Lightning Storm
Amazing!

It reminded me of the great summer storms I used to see when I was growing up in Onterrible.

Simply spectacular!

The only difference was that I didn't have to worry about tornados.

Unfortunately, it kept us from hitting up the Illuminaire's festival. Pity, since I'd worked so hard on making a lantern, this year.

We were laughing @ the people in English Bay waiting for fireworks, when nature/God was putting them to shame w/ a far more spectacular show!

In all the years I've lived here, whenever a storm happened, it was usually one flash, one boom, then rain, and it was over.

THIS one, last night, was unprecedented!

And the sky was so incredibly orange @ sunset! So vibrant!

Anyone get any good pics of this weather? Post 'em!

it was pretty intense up here in the Thompson-Okanagan too.

at one point there was a flash every 5 seconds.

The first afternoon of the Vernon Dragon Boat Festival was cut short when that storm just showed up out of nowhere and tried to drown us. =(
