bret did up these amazing watermelon mojitos in the summer, and they are a hit!

you need:

-Fresh Mint
-Watermelon cut into chunks
-Watermelon vodka
-Simple Syrup (easy to make)
-Pelligrino or any sparkling water

to prepare, just muddle some mint and watermelon in the bottom of a large glass and then add the desired amount of vodka, a tiny bit of simple syrup and fill the rest of the glass with pelligrino. Add in a few more watermelon chunks and sprigs of mint. Very delicious! The watermelon chunks are delicious to eat after, too!

After working at a bar for several years, flaming drinks anger me to no end.

They weren't allowed, but someone would always try to light their drink on fire.

One time a group ordered about 12 shots of 151, dropped half of them on the bar, and tried to light their drinks on fire and blow them out. Needles to say the bar went up in flames. I pushed them out of the way, and dumped started dumping ice on the bar trying to get the flames to stop.

One of them complained to the manager that I was "Very rude while putting out the fire". They went on to explain what had happened and asked that I be disciplined. To which my manager stood there in disbelief "You lit the bar on fire, and are mad that he pushed you out of the way to put it out?"

Sometimes I don't miss working at a bar at all...

I figured out the best way to do a flaming shot.

1 shot sambuca
take the shot, don't swallow.
wipe your mouth THOROUGHLY
tilt head back, keep the shot in your mouth.
light match, open mouth and dip match into mouth until the fumes of sambuca light up.
let burn in mouth for a few seconds, close your mouth and swallow the shot

People kinda freak out, thinking it burns having a flame in your mouth (no homo), so it makes for a neat party trick.

People that don't understand how fire works shouldn't play with it. There's a number of videos of morons falling off their roofs, that's not gonna stop me from using a ladder.

Used to do this allllll the time in junior high, but we'd also sprinkle cinnamon into our mouths so it would add a little extra crackly pizazz.

Yummy/easy drinking appy - Bacon wrapped dates:
Stuff each (medjool) date with an almond, wrap in half a slice of bacon, then bake in the oven for about 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
Next crumble a little blue cheese over top of them and drizzle with a balsamic reduction (either throw balsamic vinegar in a non stick pan and boil it down until it has reduced to a thicker consistency, or buy this stuff: Italissima's Crema di Balsamico)
