In the first minute:
"He said he would take the troops out [of Iraq] immediately" - that was never an Obama campaign promise. He said he would begin the withdrawal of Iraq, but he never said it would be an immediate process. He's confusing Obama for Paul or Kucinich. "He's increased the troops by 30,000, doubling in Afghanistan" - it was always a part of Obama's campaign to refocus the war effort in Afghanistan, as that battle was directly related to 9/11 "He's bombing Pakistan" - citation needed. He's been putting pressure on the Pakistani government to crack down on Taliban, and that's exactly what has been happening. I'm not going to bother watching anything if he can't even get through the first minute without lying through his teeth. I'm not saying I give Obama carte blanche and that he's infallible, but for crying out loud use some critical thinking already. Alex Jones alarmism is nothing of the sort. |

Having sources takes away from the truth spreading. I love how Shogun tries to be political and edgy with his topics here, but has the political understanding of a six year old and only has interests in things without substance and have big scary words like "New World Order" I could only get through three minutes. This is the worst interview I've seen. First off, he just rambles like an idiot making outlandish claims. The interviewer just sits there nodding, doesn't make a single challenge even when the claims need clarify or are downright wrong. Highlights in minute two: - His, "Taxing all american's" thing references The wall street journal article that basically says he's going to fix the regulations on the existing taxes so you can't cheat as easily. - "Everything single thing Obama has said has been a lie", that's a fairly broad stroke... - "Every single poll says that American's are against: War, Open boarders, Police state". That's just a moronic comment. Last edited by NinjaBoy; Mar 08, 10 at 02:56 PM. |

The NWO stuff is also pretty hilarious.
"They openly state they want to deindustrialize nations, they want to bankrupt the population, they want a poorer population that has to go to the government for handouts" Oh lord, where to start. "openly state": Let's see some quotes "deindustrialize nations": You do realize that this most recent economic meltdown that's happened, involving all these banking corps going under, has happened BECAUSE industrialized nations are offshoring everything and "deindustrializing" themselves, right? Without industry, there is no market stimulus, and with no market stimulus, banks go under. Try again. "poorer population that has to go to the government for handouts" and where exactly is the government going to get the money for these handouts? Only way is to... DO DO DODOOOOO... TAX BIG BUSINESS. So it's pretty much lose/lose for the banks here. Also needs explanation: How exactly is current governmental action unconstitutional or against the foundations of what "red white and blue" is about? Please cite specific constitutional articles and ammendments, because the only things I can see were the restrictions of rights that were imposed by the _last_ government. Statements like Barack Obama saying one thing and doing the opposite also requires specific examples. Granted, I'd like to say that you need statistical proof to follow up the claims that he made, given that he said that Obama does the opposite of everything he promises (because so far he hasn't really, and mediamatters is running a count), but just providing maybe one or two examples might be useful. Instead, he just makes vague unverifiable statements in order to scare people. He's not a patriot, he's a fear monger. He's not doing anything to help, he's just spreading uncertainty and doubt. Critical thinking isn't sitting around making a bunch of "what-ifs". It's providing concrete data to back verifiable claims. |

I'm sorry you were raised on a diet of milk toast with soothsayers and politicians that are supposed to ingratiate themselves to you but sometimes the truth is more important than being a personality. Read some fucking history, learn about tyranny and genocide and police states and concentration camps and learn how this is the NORM throughout the human experience. |

I never mentioned Colbert, or said anything about Obama being likable. My whole point was, none of it was backed by a single fact. He lied, and made up outrageous points to make his argument appear valid. It was worse then a Michael Moore movie. Read some fucking history? I did, that's why I was able to point out the flaws in the argument. You haven't which is why you're only ability to cover history is done through youtube videos from questionable sources. Just because a video claims something is shock, and says it's true, doesn't mean it is. As for it being the norm in history, I'd say that's a slight stretch, but even if it was the "norm" that's a weak argument on the base of it. In previous society the norm's involved a lot of social/economic issues that no longer exist. Did you do any research before you posted this? No, otherwise you wouldn't have touched something from Russia Today with a ten foot poll, and you wouldn't have quoted it as truth. |

Once again, it's obvious I've done my homework, hence being able to point out the problems with RT, and the wall street journal article that he lied about. Shogun, I think it's the bee's knees you're trying to get politically active, but first off doing research outside of youtube is preferable. Youtube tends to have incredibly skewed results (hence why I don't ever link to it when I'm trying to make a point). Because it's simply a video site, and most users don't bother listing references or clarify facts. This is true on both sides of the fence. There's a ton of left wing videos that omit just as many facts as Alex Jones. And as an aside, why do you keep posting these here? You aren't educating anyone, since most people here have no interest in this. I mean, it's an American shock jock, talking 90% of the time about American issues. There's plenty of forums where people actually want to discuss this. I post regularly on a forum about violins, but I wouldn't start posting there about politics, because nobody there cares. And speaking of petty insults, the fact that you've called me Ninjafag/ninjagirl/ninjabitch/ladyboy etc, where I've never done the anything even similar, pretty much tosses that out. I realize it's pretty easy to post a video (can you post something other then Alex Jones next?) with an attention getting headline, and laugh to yourself as we all "Freak out". But everyone's "freak out" is just pointing out how uninformed you are about the subject, so I fail to see what you are accomplishing. I guess you could say you're entertaining me and Dave while we have some downtime at work, but I'm pretty sure you're dedicating your own time to this which seems kind of silly. |

The citations that he gives say nothing of the sort of what he is impressing, so the burden of proof still lies with him. I don't watch Jon Stewart for news, I watch him to laugh. Think twice before you accuse me of getting my information from single sources, given that the only news you ever seem to post comes from Alex Jones. |
