2 yolks in one egg!
i was making breakfast today and i cracked open an egg.. and there were 2 yolks in it!! i thought "sweet!" and cracked open another one and it had 2 as well!
i didnt know they made eggs with 2 yolks in them... is that natural? or were the chickens mutants? either way, i got the nutriion of 4 eggs in 2! sweet ass sweet john 2899131 |

its twins!!! when they sort eggs, they use a lighting technique to see what is inside, normally eggs with two yolks are removed from the batch that goes to the supermarket, as they are seen as mutants. I guess they send them to bakeries and stuff like that. heh. once I got an entire dozen of double yolk eggs... weird. but know whats even weirder?? the amount of knowledge I have about eggs.

double yolk eggs are quite commonly laid by younger chickens, as their internal egg making machine are not fully developed.
the yolks that come from a 'double yolk egg' are usually smaller and are fine to eat, but 'double yolk eggs' rarely ever hatch as the egg is not big enough to support the development of two chicks. |
