value of my car?
Im seriously considering getting rid of my car around summertime and getting a 96/97 Volkwagen GTI or something like that. So around summer when 2Fast2Furious comes out (market value will increase for modded cars i speculate), i wanna fix up my car so its near mint condition and sell it for im thinking around $7000-8000 (privately not to dealership). What do you guys think is the most people would buy it for?
White 1990 240sx 5spd 201,000km on the clock as of today (still has a good 100-150 left in it) Lowered, Aftermarket swaybars, 17s, Tinted, Aluminum Wing (not a huge riced one), Intake, newer exhaust, new clutch, new brakes rotors/pads, new injectors, power-steering pump. 2 10in Type-S alpines, rockford 550RMS watt amp, Alpine headunit, 6 Disc changer, blue underbody neons. Engine compression very good, and a small amount of rust that i will fix before i even put up for sale. same year 240s go for between $2000-10000 and average about $6000 for one with 250km on it. konrad the cvalue of your car will not go up because of a movie, secondly the value of your car deffinitly does not go up because you mod it, if anything it will go down. s13's aren't worth much anyway expect to get anywhere in between 4-6k for it.

you're telling me that you didn't notice the sudden surge of riced out civics driving around after fast and the furious came out??

Well, thing is the guy i was talking to is a buddy of mine. And i told him iw ont be selling it for a good 3 or 4 months and he said he is interested since around that time he will be looking for a car and really likes mine. Lots of stuff can happen in 3 or 4 month so its not for sure, but either way, i'd rather sell it for $6000 in 4 months then $7000 now since i'll need it to aquire the additional ~$10,000 ill be needing for the other car. I drive it very little now so by the time im selling it it'll have 210k tops. Dealerships want upwards of 9 or 10k for the same car with same KM on it. the KA engine is really strong and almost always lasts to 350-400 if well maintained (which mine is)

Ill do up the golf instead. It'll take me a while to find the right car, but it HAS to be black, and all i'll do to body is lower and put mags on it. Everything else i plan to do is engine stuff like injectors and things like that...All really depends on what i find...TDI ill have to pour a grand into it to make it a driveable speed lol. Hopefully ill get a GTI or a 1.8 turbo
