if the vdub breaks down it will cost quite a bit more then the pontiac...but thats a rare occurence with most vdubs....plus there a helluva lot nicer then an american car of equal price could ever hope to be. Last edited by SEAN!; Mar 11, 03 at 10:15 AM. |

icbc determines if a car is a right off this if the damage is >75% of the value of the car, regardless how old it is.
Meaning, if you smashed a $200,000 lamborghini (with doorhandles, and all!), you would have to cause $150,000 or more in damage. In that example it wouldn't be too hard to do because lambo parts are expensive, but on a normal car, if you crashed and lets say bent the frame, the body panels would no longer line up properly, and the car could not be repaired to its original condition. of course, if you have like >75% damage to your car, you can always bitch at icbc to pay you out or some shit and try to fix the car urself. Same with <75%. you can always bitch and whine to them. |

they cant weasle there was out
gm made defective injectors, and are therefor responsible. I dont recall ever signing some kind of contract that i would not hold nissan responsible for anything that might happen to my car. ICBC always tries to weasle out of everything, so bare with them, they have to pay up if gm doesn't. all they can argue is who has to pay, them, or gm. but if u wanna scam a car with icbc, thats how u do it. damage the lil rubber seal around one of your injectors, run it for a week or two so some fuel gets spilled, and light er up... |
