You don't think Bush is ruthless? Mr Texas and axis of evil?

Did u see how the markets closed yesterday?
Everything was up besides the shitty canadian dollar.
The dow gained almost 300 points!!

This is the biggest excuse for a war ever.. EVER
Where is the proof? They don't have any proof, so now its time for him to step down and leave IRAQ?

Do you really think the next leader of IRAQ is goign to be any better. I say keep this d00d in power, keep a close eye on him. What can he really do? Hes not the best leaderand hes funny (asking for help- "Help me destroy these missiles up, i don't know how")

What if this next leader is an amazing leader.. the next Hitler..

Then we could be in some serious shit.

NO ONE LIKES SADDAM, DUH GOOD JOB CHET! THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS NOT A SINGLE WEAPONS INSPECTION HAS UNCOVERED ANYTHING. IF THEY DID THEN THE U.N. WOULD BACK THIS WAR, BUT THEIR'S A REASON THEY DON'T.
BTW ADVOCATING REGIME CHANGE IS WRONG WRONG WRONG. imagine if Chretien said "i like Cancun, we should kill the leader of Mexico and take it over" THE U.S. MADE MOST OF THE INTERNATIONAL LAWS REGARDING THAT. SO ARE PRE-EMPTIVE STRIKES. LIKE WTF!!!!!! YOU CAN'T JUST GO STARTING WARS CUZ THEY MAY BE A DANGER IN THE FUTURE. WTF? THERE ARE SO MANY GODDAMN THINGS WRONG WITH THIS WAR. THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A WAR ON TERRORISM...CIA/US HAVE NEVER PRODUCED A SINGLE PIECE OF EVIDENCE LINKING SADDAM TO AL-QAEDA OR BIN LADEN. IF THEY HAD THE EVIDENCE, DON'T U THINK THEY'D BE JAMMING IT DOWN OUR THROATS? WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION AND BIOLOGICAL WEAPONS HAVE NEVER BEEN USED IN TERRORIST ATTACKS. AND I GUESS IT'S JUST A COINCIDENCE THAT WHEN THEY WIN THIS WAR, AND INSTALL A PUPPET GOVERMENT THAT THE U.S. WILL GET FIRST DIBS ON THE OIL HUH? HMMMMM.

sorry for all the caps, but that's how choked this propaganda spewing little monkey is getting me. argh.

Oh yea, to the people who honestly believe in this war...i'm guessing more americans per say...it's big fun until your brothers/husbands/sons start coming home early...in bags.

one last thing, the U.S.A. has shown as much disregard for the United Nations as Iraq has.

(^) No... to one point, it's more likely that 99% of them will come home just fine or so it will seem. Then some 45% of those will develop Gulf War syndrome... not a pretty thing and something the U.S. Governemnet is trying there best to ignore and silence.

nolan: chances are slim of heavy u.s. casualties, but when they have to go thru cities and such it may be a bigger problem.

ha ha
don't get your panties in a bunch
I don't think war is fun
It is horrible
but action has to be taken
also I how am I spewing propaganda?
I'm not promoting war, I'm stating an opinion
and the fact that you can't have a conversation without
attacking me or anyone else with a different opinion makes you just as bad as Mr. Heusen
so to get back to the point
War is not fun, but sometimes necessary, he was not supposed to have any wepons
short range or not
the UN has done nothing to enforce this
he only started dissarming when pressure was put on by the US and England
he is a fool and needs to be taken out

^I agree with you and I've already said it... Saddam needs to be taken out. That is fact. The thing is Chet, you can't ignore what the other people in this thread are saying. There is so much more that's wrong with this war than what you're saying.

It's not just about Saddam. I hate to pop your little bubble but Nolan and Karl both came up with some really, REALLY good facts backing up their arguments.

Hell, Bush doesn't have UN backing or the backing of half of his own citizens. What does that say?

Bush = War Monger

I'm not doubting that some of the reasoning is a little shady
war on terrorism
wepons of mass distruction
but what happens if they do find nukes or chemical/biological wepons
what if they do have evidence (which they claim they do)
and they are just not releasing it (which they arn't)
I agree with alot of the thingd Nolan mentioned
but still the pressure of war has to be there for Iraq to take any action

Prissypants will become famous soon enough
I think anyone who supports this war should fly over to Iraq after a few of the bombs have been dropped and take a good hard look at a dead Iraqi kid (one killed by American/ British weapons) that has been lying out in the sun for a few days.

It may make them think that war maybe isn't such a good idea.

I do agree that Saddam needs to go BUT I also think Bush needs to go...I dislike them almost equally...but then again...I am slightly uninformed of the whole situation...Then again, if the UN does not support this action, maybe, just maybe, there might be something morally/legally wrong with it.

As oddly simplistic as this debate is, it is one of the most pragmatic and realistic interpretations of the Iraq conflict that I have seen online.

This is a great example of how the main stream media can control people's thought's through the nation as a person anology. Saddam equals evil, is a tyrant and therefore a war to remove him is just. Yet this still doesn't explain why the first 3000 bombs dropped will kill an estimated 500,000 civillians and not Saddam. Also of those 50% are likely to be 15 years of age or younger.

this is so stupid
war isn't going to solve anything

notice how all the americans and the president and what not are all RAH RAH were going to war...but as soon as the death toll rises and the war is over...and thousands upon thousands have died...they all say "what a tragedy".."what a horrific loss"..."so many lives taken and stolen from us"..."young men and women having so much future ahead of them"....
of course this is all true....BUT...bush proceeds to say this when the war is OVER...when it was his choice to go to war...his choice for these young men and women to go and fight for their country

in my opinion...when the war is over and he proceeds to say this...he might as well as call himself and murderer...or on a less harsh note...the cause of it...because it was his choice to send them there...knowing in the first place how many are going to die

it pisses me off in situations like these especially when they use the words "taken from us"...and"stolen lives"....

:soak:

Oh and lets see how happy the Canadian population is when we get attacked by terrorists... maybe people will realize that a good economy wasn't worth there little sisters life or for that matter the life of some 5 year old girl in Iraq. The fact that a good economy could even be a justification for a war makes me sick. Plain and simple condoning the war on Iraq is an invitation for retaliation.
