Also on another thought if the U.S. government thinks this war is so needed than why not have their kids or any of them young enough enlist and go over there to fight? As it happens between the senate, congress and white house staff only one family member is currently enlisted in the army.

In 1998, President Bill Clinton successfully pressured UNSCOM director Richard Butler to withdraw inspectors without authorization from the Secretary General or the Security Council--before their mission was complete--in order to engage in a four-day heavy bombing campaign against Iraq. As predicted at the time, this illegal use of military force--combined with revelations that the United States had abused the inspections process for espionage purposes--resulted in the Iraqi government barring the inspectors' return until a reorganized inspections commission known as UNMOVIC commenced inspections last year. UNMOVIC chairman Hans Blix and UN Secretary General Kofi Annan explicitly called upon the United States and the international community to give the inspectors more time to do their job, noting that it would take a number of months before their mission could be completed.

it's just amazing why they target saddam. he's all about the weapons of mass destruction apparently, but his nuke program is according to the states in it's "infancy" so why go for iraq when n.korea admittedly have a full blown nuke program? this is about protecting the people, and the future, and preventing evil in general right? well call me silly but i bet it's easier for a terrorist to get a nuke from people who actually have nukes, as opposed to a few parts for a nuke. it's just such a blatant play for the oil it's disgusting.

notice how all the americans and the president and what not are all RAH RAH were going to war...but as soon as the death toll rises and the war is over...and thousands upon thousands have died...they all say "what a tragedy".."what a horrific loss"..."so many lives taken and stolen from us"..."young men and women having so much future ahead of them"....
of course this is all true....BUT...bush proceeds to say this when the war is OVER...when it was his choice to go to war...his choice for these young men and women to go and fight for their country

in my opinion...when the war is over and he proceeds to say this...he might as well as call himself and murderer...or on a less harsh note...the cause of it...because it was his choice to send them there...knowing in the first place how many are going to die
