listen/ view anything else thats creative, it inspires me to do the same...

when i start drawing its usualy after looking at a bunch of other drawings. pushes me to want to draw.. same with webpage design and computer graphics, after looking at a bunch it makes me open up my photo shop and fool around..

and again goes for music.. when i start to listen to it a lot it makes me open up fruity loops and try create sumthing

i have to agree with dave.. sadly when i view others work i get inspired to do my own thing.. challenges me actually. i look at different techniques and media... see what i feel like exploring. once the pencil goes down and moves for a bit... it tends to move itself. i really need to get a bit more creative.. ive been in this artist mindblock for a while now.. tough times.

i went to an artist workshop for the day today.. and my pencil went wild because of the ideas that flooded my mind. it was great.. dont know if you guys know chris woods, but i went to his seminar..and it was absolutely amazing! his paintings looked like photographs.

If I can't squeeze it out then I'm hopeless. Inactive. Everthing I do tends to start looking like shit when I try too hard. Either that or I just lack the passion for it that even if it looks modest, I don't like it enough to allow it space in my sketchbook..

But I've started up again so expect some new work from me :)

i totally hear ya yoko.. once i try too hard everything just falls apart and my mind drifts... its mad fustrating... i think watching tv and music helps alot though.. maybe cuz it relaxes da mind? and tv feeds alot of information..

go out for coffee/ beer alone and watch people, people watching gets your mind working so well, cuz all your doing is thinking, and not distracted with a convo. I LOVE people watching. so wierd what people do when they think no one is watching

hmmm its odd im always inspired, mind u there have been a few times when i couldnt piece together a sentance for the life of me. But everyone has thier bouts of writers block its only natural so instead of concetrating on ur blockage dont pay it any mind at all and in due time u shall be writing lines(or what have u).

I really hate it when im out partying and I dont have any writing materials with me and i come up with the best poem, and then i try to remember it but i cant cuz im 2 fucked up

thanks ross.. im actually workin on wednesday right now... i need to go find myself 2 more shoeboxes.. grrz. i found these OL SKOOL retro bball shoes..they're rad.

you know where i get a lot of ideas? ...by writing stuff out. find a 2 spread in my journal..write down as many words as i can.. even if its stupid i cross it out... when i get an idea i break it apart and doodle, list, etc. i use to hateeee thumbnails.. now i love them..they actually help a lot.

yay for drugs. I've felt that way before too. i came up with some weird poems on drugs..

Hmm.. for me I go for a walk in the rain or late at night and sit somewhere.. stare at the stars. I love darkness, street lamps, lights, stars, the moon.. so mostly I go for walks or a drive out to a park/secluded place and just sit there, listen to my surroundings.. this world interests me and motivates me..
then there's the chill and listen to the most calming music I've got, jazz, ambient, blues, soul, r&b and then something comes to me... but usually when I'm at a party I get my best ideas cause I won't be thinking about a thing and then boom, something will pop into my head..

drugs gimme no inspiration at all... just bigger mind block. makes my mind go slower than norm, can't afford that when i'm writing.
usually put on some music. just sorta whatever mood i wanna write sorta stuff.

This may sound wierd but i get inspired every time i hear the whistle of a passing freight train in the distance.
Or i watch Style Wars, Kings Destroy(cope2 vid), or gtv freight issue.
I usually just smoke some weed though, that does the trick.
