Skytrain Poem
So i'm on the skytrain today going from Stadium to Metrotown, and there's some sort of delay at Scott Road station. Now I'm usually pretty patient but I swear each stop took approximetely 15 minutes so I was getting pretty pissed off... and on top of that the man sitting next to me was tapping his foot and that just happens to be a pet peeve of mine.. so I decided to write a poem:
Tap, tap, tap... my impatience grows as his obliviousness succeeds to destroy my sanity; As I sit on this bench, my eyes can't help but linger to the inconsistant rhythm of his subconsious tool. I look out the windo into a world that can soothe me but the tapping continues and through the reflection I observe what I dread. The humming grows louder and I am now on the verge of pulling out my hair, strand by strand to relieve the tension of the tap that has me under its power. Definetly not one of my best poems, but I hope you find it amusing. |
