okay im sorry to say.. but its good that u people are sticking up for cloutier... but he fuckin sucks.. that 3rd goal that cost the game was terrible... it went right thru him.... they averaged his save %.. and he let a goal in every 4 SHOTS!!!!!! thats disgusting... The Nucks deserved to win game 7 but if u dont have a goalie there is only so much u can do

if we (canuck fans) think clouts is so bad, [which i don't] who the fuck would want him and a prospect for an elite goalie. also WHO GIVES AWAY ELITE GOALIES?
some goals were obviously a bit weak, but how many were on PISS POOR defensive coverage? how many DIRECT GIVE-AWAYS were there? and let's face it, guys like todd have to get more than 1 goal per series. the big guns weren't that big, naslund had some points, but ya know those hurtin points where ya just get the one/two per game, but the're leading by 5.

ya thats a really good point. Cloutier does need to figure out how to control himself out there.

He is a good goalie when his mind is clear but once he lets something get on his nerves he plays like a wreckj

lots of teams give away elite goalies for good deals. Curtis Joseph for in stance going to Detroit, though he sucked this year. I am sure he will rebound next year.

I don't think cloutier is bad but i think he needs to get better... in alot of ways.

He needs to be better at keeping his cool, and keeping his mi nd clear.

Needs to be a goalie who can come through with the humungous saves tha t Kirk Mclean would have made.

He is just not a breakthru goalie, and we needs a gamebreaker goalie. Common his stats say it all.

All the other 3 goalies were ranked respectably #1,#2, and #3/#4 or something li ke that, and then there is cloutier who was l ike 15th or something. FUCKING 15th?? thats pretty bad in my opinion and we all know it

OMG u godamn bandwagon fans, if the nucks won you would be praising how good clouts was but we lost so you go against him hey dumbasses hockey is more than goaltending, if the defence drops the ball then the goaltender can be put into a situation where he cant make the save.. Theres a lot more reasons why the Canucks lost to the Wild than shitty goaltending. Shure he made some mistakes but not as many as Sopel or Jovo made as far as turnovers that led to scoring opportunities. Personally I think Cloutier is our best goaltender since Kirk Mclean. Hes got the Heart and passion Ive seen a Vid clip where he kicked the shit out of another teams goaltender then went and tried to take on the whole opponent teams bench when he was playing for another team a few years ago.

Im just as mad that the Canucks lost and that last penalty against Burtuzzi was fucking bullshit and funny how the only 2 penalties in the game were against the Canucks and how the NHL seems to not call penatlies when it ivolves a known "tough" guy who is the victim. Ive seen so many cheap shots against Burtuzzi and no calls but as soon as he gets a lil pissed and gives some body a penalty is called, ive seen the same for other NHL "tough" guys. In the end the Wild out played the Canucks and wanted to win more than we did. Im just as dissapointed as anybody after that season we had but no way am I going to blame one player on the team. I think Cloutier is the right Goaltender for vancouver her got the attitude and skill, although hes still a young goalie but hes still learning.

So if your gonna blame somebody blame the entire team not just one player, when a team wins they win as a team when they lose they lose as a team

Canucks next year baby! woooo!

Wrong!! Even if we won I still will critique Cloutier all I want. Bottom is line the big saves that can steal a game aren;t there.

Ya our defence coverage was to be quite frankly brutal in games 5,6, and the third period of game 7, but still cloutier could have kept the score to a 2-1 score in game 7.

He let in 2 softies, third one was pretty soft too. When we need a clutch performance its not there.

I ain't a bandwagon jumper, I been a fan of the Canucks for as long as I have lived, and played hockey too.

I just feel cloutier needs to do something about his confidence level, and then maybe I will have as much respect for him as I do for Kirk Mclean.

Mclean had the big saves when they counted, like the 2 on 1 in overtime in game 7 of the 1994 playoff run. Thats a true playoff goalie

I agree with you on two things though. I believe Cloutier is also the future goalie to lead the canucks to the cup. He is still young, and he is learning as he goes along.

The other point I am gonna agree with you on is the team did collapse as a team, and the whole team does deserve the blame.

Lets just get one th ing straight though I am not BLAMING CLOUTIER!! I am criticizing him for what I believe were two soft goals he should have stopped. I believe he can get better, and his head was just not where it should have been. More focus is required.

Ya the team did suck, b ut bottom line was when we needed him he failed. The team as the papers put it matured faster than Cloutier did.

Cloutier has yet to have that clutch that performance that true playoff goalies have, but Clouts did have his moments, and in the future he will definetly be the person in goal when the cancusk make another run at the cup.

The defensive coverage for the canucks was very sloppy though in game 5,6,and 7. NEXT YEAR IS RITE!

word has it that the canucks are looking at khabibulin frum tampa

but i say keep everyone, maybe get rid of sopel and try to get another superstar forward. i bet u if u do that then itll take the load off nazzy and tuzzis shoulders a bit and make a more diverse 4 lines.

^ its a pretty positive idea. It might work quite nicely too.

I say a pretty good, decent sized center. Its whats we need so that Morrison is not doing all the work. Though Sedin and Linden at time are ok faceoff men.

We need a decent sized, speedy center.

lots of teams give away elite goalies for good deals? NAME ONE in the last 2 years. cujo was a free agent. belfour? free agent. we are a small market team, we can't afford to sign an ELITE goalie for 3.5+mill

just look for the rite deals. Good goalies always popup, and they don't necessarily have to be elite, but I am sure some GOOD goalies we could do with.

Dude i was impressed with cloutiers performance for the last 2 years. Regular season, but his playoff's just havn't been up to par.

I give him two more playoff years to redeem himself, or else vancouver fans are gonna dig him a grave. He is lucky that people are so lienient this year.

i don't know i just think cloutier could have been better, and u gotta admit that. Its not all his fault but a big part of it is, because of the position he plays, and its importance to the team

don't get me wrong, i'm not exactly thrilled with dan's performance, but he (and the team) have to gain experience some where. look at the sens, rome wasn't built in a day.

i suppose so, but man canucks looked like the team that could finally do it this year. Ottawa got good in the last three years, and now look at where they are rite>?

So mayeb the canucks next year will finally get to the conference finals like ottawa has this year
