I think it looks annoying, cheesy, tacky and like I've landed on some 14 year old's personal website who found a buncha scripts for annoying add ons for their site.

Just having to look at a monitor is bad enough, let alone having some extra bright, flickering feature that would just tweak with my eyes and head even more. I'd rather draw people's attention to my posts by what it is I actually have to say, not by forcing them to notice some obnoxious *LOOK AT ME! I GLOW!* followed by unintelligable ramblings.
