So, do you like drive??
I was wonderin' how many of you folk are BC drivers w/ cars or if you are Translinking it
with all the improvements to Skytrain I sometimes think about giving up my car - but then I tihnk it doesn't run late enough and it means i can sleep in just a little longer in the morning... but when i'm driving home through stupid ass traffic I think to myself, maybe I should invest in a pass.....but then it's insurance plus gas there should really be insurance based on mileage - I mean I only drive like 20 km a day... umm...i drive.
i sumtimes opt to take the bus downtown, but that's only if i know i'll be home early... and....i think the train/bus is interesting. there are 'freaks'...but i'm a people watcher so it's ok. hmm...i've thought about it...but the time factor is where i get caught up. it's so much easier to just get in my car when i want to, instead of finding out the bus schedule, making sure i have change, and then sitting waiting until i get there... and i'm impatient, so i usually get mad at the way the bus-driver is driving...THEY SHOULD GO AS FAST AS THEY CAN! |

I JUST got my liscence yesterday (woohoo!) So I can't answer that question really. The car I drive isn't exactly all mine, but regardless of that.. If I'm going downtown for the day or whatever, I doubt I'd take a vehicle. With the price of gas, it's not worth it. I usually don't have TOO much of a problem with people on transit, so so far I'd rather take transit if possible because I would like to avoid polluting the world even more if It's THAT easy for me to take the bus/skytrain.

^ lol ya, i noticed that :P
i don't drive. i'm going to get my L sometime soon, but mostly just so i have some ID (not sure when i'm taking lessons), seeing as BCid is a bitch to get and it takes them for-fucking-ever! i spend most of my time with john though, and he drives. so i don't bus to too many places. when i do though, i take my dad's buspass (he busses to work, new skytrain is like RIGHT beside his work), so i'm not worried about paying. I absolutely HATE the bus I have to take to get to skytrain though. It is the worst ever.. during the day (around 3ish) it's supposed to come by about every 15-20 minutes.. and i've been waiting there for 1 1/2 hours at times.. just for the stupid bus that never shows. pisses me off to the extreme, but there's not much i can do about it. |

A couple of years late, but probably getting my N next month or so.... Most my time is spent with Chris, and he drives, but when I get my N and I get to drive my car, I'm going to sugarmama him. The car I'll be driving is great on gas so I'll probably be driving around everywhere as Transit people scare me.
I love driving, especially now that I have a car that I can actually shoulder check in. |

i love driving..and transit is not an option for me since i work in the lonsdale area of north van and when im in school i have to make it from lonsdale to UBC in less then an hour, so transit is not an option for me, also i have to have a car for work since im often going to different work sites around the lower mainland and ill have meetings with people downtown and taking the seabus and walking takes too long. Even if transit was a suitable option would never ever ever ever give up my car. this is because i don't like the loosers, im not poor, i don't like waiting, i don't like walking in the rain, i love driving, and how do you take a girl on a date when you only have a bus pass? hahah.
they would have to stuff another million and a half people in this city before transit(and only skytrain at that) would be faster then driving....i mean i can make it from my house in central coquitlam to north vancouver in a little under half an hour. taking the skytrain from lougheed to granville takes longer then that. |
