i agree with soma on this one.
what's the point in taking negativity to scene where everyone is just out to have a good time? you cramp down on people for being happy? <---please, explain the logic to me on that one. as for the kandy and all that, to everyone their own. as for plur, 'max on e' is the definition of plur - BUDDAE! :trippin: |

Plur is what you make of it, but most just think of the word and abuse it in a way.
Simple way of life, plur is just another way of saying it. Live life the rite way, the honest and nice way. In my opinion eveyrone has plur, just some overly try and flaunt it as if its a status thing, which it isn't. Respect your peers they respect you thats all the plur i need |

My friend rhiannon brought up a good point of how plurry me and her are and our friends like the COQ bois haha.
Me and her have had the same group of friends for the past buncha years. Partying friends at that. Not just friends we go to parties with but hangout on a daily basis. Some of them I work with and we have all stuck together and been friends for so long. That is something I consider to be an example of real plur in my mind. Things like that comes along with the respect and all aspects of plur. Plur is what u make of it rite |

I think many of you have the idea of PLUR completely mistaken.
I have been to events since 1993 and I can tell you PLUR does mean something.... Frankie Bones invented the term in a speech he gave at a major rally for raves and clubs in the early 90's. Back then people never bitched about shit like standing in line or the sound of whatever. People took it as a priviledge to just be able to go to an event. Remember this scene use to be an underground culture... the same 1000 kids out every weekend. When the mainstream caught on they saw it as an opportunity to get high and party all night... raves are much more than that... it was the time you could count on to see your friends, and forget your cares just for a night and enjoy this crazy life... I think its time everyone took the events they are given as a priviledge to see these djs and to even have the chance to go out and enjoy themselves... The real truth is, raves are about plur, and all these people who dont and never will understand it is why you see fights and other bullshit at parties. By the way I like the term rave, and im not one to be embarassed by it and call it a party. So lets all fucken rave on to our hearts content and support each other so that this city doesnt stomp on us and the only rave we'll all be having is in our little basements with a stero and 2 friends! at parties we can all be whoever we want for a night... thats what makes people fight so hard against the asswipe politicians who will never understand why we care so much to stay up and dance. I know why I really love it, cause it has changed my life, opened m eyes, and made me in some way a better person.... I think I will ask Frankie to say something before his set at RhythmNation on July 26, maybe itll affect us in some way. till then, as agro would say "rave on"! PLUR rick la cosa nostra |

Frankie Bones introduced raves (in the underground party sense) ... by throwing a series of big underground partys. They were known as the Storm Raves. Many promotors give Mr.Bones credit as the founding father of raves in America. It was at one of these Storm Raves that Mr. Bones gave a very important speech after one of his very powerful sets. He explained what the scene was about ... Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect. When he finished everybody in the warehouse waved their hands in the air in complete unity. For many it was the most beautiful speech anyone has ever heard ... all the old skoolers still talked about Frankie's speech.
They talked about it so much that PLUR became the acronym for Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect. www.plur.com AGROout |

if your stupid enough to think that candy kids go around 'preaching' plur, then your as dumb as the thugged out 'i hate ravers, ravers suck' crowd.
what's so lame about P.L.U.R.? tell me. why is that lame? i go to raves to have a blast, meet a few peeps here and there, and just enjoy the music and dancing. PEACE LOVE UNITY RESPECT? shit that's a good thing. maybe it's because i'm not as cool as a few of the people on this board who fight and flame like children. i go to PARTY, not be an immature high schooler who's setting up fights and shit. |
