some girl i met at breathe said that there's a really good place somewhere on main.. im sorry i cant be more specific but what they do is they plaster the image on your skin first just to see if you like how it looks, then they just trace around it when they actually tattoo your skin. that way, they arent actually drawing the tattoo so there's less risk of them screwing up

there's a really good place.
something dutchman...ask canadian boarder...i think he knows about it. anyways i've heard a lot of good things about this place, including from people in australia!!! get the girl that has no tattoos...supposedly shes AMAZING |

Yupppp...The Dutchman in New West is really good. And the girl seems to be really good. I've never seen any of her actual work, but I went there to get a specialized drawing of an angel from her and it was gorgeous. I never ended up getting that tattooed though.
I went to Next to get mine done. If you go there, get Josh to do it. I have several friends that got theirs done by him too and he always does the most AMAZING job! Last edited by Erica; Jul 11, 03 at 09:28 AM. |

Good luck getting into the Dutchman without super advance notice...such a well known parlor, and such a talented staff :)
I highly recomend Dave Shore at Dragon tattoo in Surrey - he came highly recomended to me from a huge herd of bikers that have been sportin' his tatties for the last 30 years - and I couldn't be more pleased with his work (but most people will recomend their own tattooists...so reasearch lady - research) |

Wolf tattoo and body piercing.... former associate of dutchman.
Extremely talented piercer and tat artist.... that and great prices 604-450-0649 Tell him Shawn sent you!!!! Wolf has done all of my piercing and my tat. I have seen his work on a bunch of other people I've brought in and he is awesome! |

Actually there are a lot of really talented artitsts in this city to choose from. The biggest thing is to find someone who you are comfortable with. 1st on Granville is good too, but more expensive... Bear is a great guy!
Dave's out in Abby is probably the BEST in the lower mainland seeing as how Dave has travelled the world for his skills. You have to book him like a month in advance though |

dutchman is world-renowned...amazing work there...it's in new west though...depending on where you're coming from.
i got one of mine done at sacred heart on 10th...in kits...steve. he was awesome... yup. that's where i'm going next as well. there or dutchman...not sure yet. :c-tard: |

Yah, go see Wolf....he's great, affordable, and a super cool guy!! I think he might be a bit lonely though...?!?!?!? Because when I got my tattoo done he asked my friend and I to come back for follow-ups a few times...and we ended up staying for hours, talking and playing video games and on the computer and watching TV. And then he wanted to show us his new jeep, etc....?
But go to him. He is good and reasonably priced. *Jen* |

The only place anyone that I know goes to is Bryan's Tattoo's in Abbotsford. I've never seen any shitty job's from him....except this one girl. She was making fun of him while he was doing the tattoo so he didn't do the greatest job. Stupid girl
As for hurting, it hurts at first but then you sort of go numb and can't feel much. Of course, the closer to the bone you get it the more it'll hurt. Hope whatever you get done looks great. |

it all depends on what kind of style you want.
steve cole at sacred in kits is simply amazing. he is actually working on my second sleeve right now. thats how much i dig his work. he's good at portrait work. scenes with "earth" in them. and he is very good at designing original variations of something you like. but if you want traditional work, like most tattoos out there, go see steve MORR, at sacred heart on davie. he is very fast and very very good at stuff like that. |
