Scientists admit: we were wrong about 'E'

I saw this in the Wickedhouseparty news feed, thought it would be worth reposting |

I participated in a MDMA study this past May at Johns Hopkins University. I met the Dr. Ricaurte this article refers to, and can say that the guy WAS biased in his opinions about MDMA.
I mean, no one's denying that MDMA is bad for you, but to go as far as trying to scare people from taking it by claiming that a single dose can cause irreversable brain damage and Parkinson's disease, is extremely unprofessional--especially for someone who works for one of the world's largest (and most highly funded) research hospital. I hope the study that Kent and I recently participated in is used to explain the more realistic side effects of the drug. edit: here's the link about the study if anyone's interested http://www.ishkur.com/memes/mdma/index.htm Last edited by diva; Sep 07, 03 at 10:53 AM. |
