I participated in a MDMA study this past May at Johns Hopkins University. I met the Dr. Ricaurte this article refers to, and can say that the guy WAS biased in his opinions about MDMA.

I mean, no one's denying that MDMA is bad for you, but to go as far as trying to scare people from taking it by claiming that a single dose can cause irreversable brain damage and Parkinson's disease, is extremely unprofessional--especially for someone who works for one of the world's largest (and most highly funded) research hospital.

I hope the study that Kent and I recently participated in is used to explain the more realistic side effects of the drug.

ok, so if they were using speed instead of E, does that mean speed can cause irreversable damage to the brain from even one hit? or were they using way more meth than what is in an average dose?

They were injecting it for one. Also, I don't know how the proportions work out, but they said that they gave them a "usual" dose of what someone would do at a party which worked out to something like 9 caps.
