the problem with surrey, is that the population is like 60-70% kids and teenagers. There hoodlems everywhere you look! But people don't realize that it's only PARTS of surrey that are like that. But you get that with EVERY city and town...bad area's and scummy people. Shit, i went to prince george one summer, and i was talking to some people, and there were like "surrey girl!! haha, surrey girl!!" It's such a stupid steriotype, but you just gotta ignore it, but i must say that it's strange that people who live so far away here these rumors...it baffles me.

Heh.. I lived in Surrey for around 19-20 yrs and I have to say that is not that bad.I t has its nice places and its bad ones just like any other city. Sure I got mugged a couple times, but that could happen anywhere. I think its kind of funny when you tell people that you lived surrey and they get this odd look on there face as if they are not sure wether they should trust you, or maybe run for it ... just in case.
I met a girl from NY one time and she told me she had actually heard the rumors about good ol Slurrey. |

Your first post Mate-HO cracked me up...
Hell dude, I used to live in Surrey/Cloverdale AND Langley... Hell, I graduated high school in Cloverhole. The stereotypes come with the city dude... the reality is, a visit to the Hoe-Zone confirms a lot of those! |

I have held residences in almost every city in the lower half of BC in my time and have found one thing to be true. No matter the club no matter the place there's always going to be a few sluts and a few want to be gangsters in every crowd to try and fuck things up. What I'm saying is every place has it's fair share of bad things about it but the trick is not to let it get to you because if you do then they woin you LOSE. Unless you are from North Vancouver then you are the greatest and if you live there you know exactly what I'm talking about. Love that shore! :PartEkid:

there are no places to go out... a few excellent pubs that I know and love but no place to dance, club, or go get rowdy. You have to cross a bridge for that kind of action. |

here in london i work with an italian guy from milan and one of the first things he asked me when we met was "what's the deal with surrey girls..?" i've also met people in montreal and toronto that are vaguely familiar with surrey stereotypes. if you live in surrey... get out now before the whole world knows.
