re laser correction - yes I have a friend who had the procedure where they cut the flap (95% of ppl get that type of laser method) and one of his eyes did not properly correct, while the other is perfect.
Another person had the no-touch laser procedure and it worked fine. They let me watch the whole thing right in the op room. Took about 1 minute lasering each eye, 10 minutes total operation time, $4500. Anyone who is good with a joystick or mouse could do it. I would get the laser treatment done but I am older and I would need reading glasses afterwards, so it is just changing one pair of glasses for another type for me, and not worthwhile. |

Wow what a responce, Winston you know your shyt.
but for me contacts are out of the question. I spent a good chunk of my day in a few eye wear places, looking ar frames and prices, I found a pair of rectangular looking wire frames for driving, and phat with a "ph" like the kids use it emo glasses from reading and walk around, by-focals just wont work for me so two pairs of glasses, give or take 300 beans. ouch. |

If you are obsessive as I am in regards to taking care of your eyes you would be well schooled as well. :)
For example, I clean whatever pair of glasses I wear before I put them on with soap and water, make sure the lenses are polished, get regular eye exams, don't rub my eyes, use eye drops, etc. You should go check out new lens types as they have bifocals that are "seamless" and might work better than what you have now. Beats carrying two pairs of glassesd around. |

Well I won't say they are 'new' but they are more cosmetically appealling as you dn't see the bifocal 'shift'.
The only issue is where the two different lenses blend you might get a blurry spot. My optometrist did show me a new lens type that got rid of this issue but I am not sure who the manufacturer is. |
