Irc. sure you can chat there...but then major advantage with IRC is that you can dl movies and shit. Majority of users do that.

MSN really bugs me.

Well, not so much the interface, cos I use trillian instead.

but what I REALLY hate is the way everyone makes their msn name an entire fucking PARAGRAPH.

that's what settings and preferences are for.

the majority of people love msn because it's fucking simple to use. i find it annoying, but that's why i use trillian.

ya, it's annoying. just rename the people their regular name and then you have no problem. that's what i do to avoid dealing with names that are 794320850240 characters long..

when it pops up the first time it clearly gives u the option to not let the msg pop up again. You clearly canot read DLO. #2 You say IRC can be used for chat too so u did agree with me there and you also state that u can download movies etc.. heck thats even better. WHy complain.

I like msn the best, cause its simple and most people have it. the things I liked about icq were the renaming, and the invisible mode u could still talk to people. If i didnt have msn...i'd probably study more... :trippin:

uhm. msn plus anyone? you can rename contacts for msn with that shit. plus custom away messages/auto-replies, logging, lock down, boss button (for the @ work msn'ers), plus more

Due to my computer being totally fucked beyond belief. I have been without msn messanger for about 2 weeks now, and will be without it till i get a new computer (probably about another 2 weeks). I thought id go mental but luckily im busy as hell right now with work and getting a new job etc. that its actually a little comforting that i dont waste time i dont have on it.

true that msn is more simple then IRC and ICQ. But if people cant figure out that you type your message in the box then click on send then they shoudnt be using the internet all together. This i mean ICQ, IRC can get a bit tricky for beginners.

i've had icq since 1995 and haven't had problems... don't like someone.. ignore... don't know them? don't authorize...

if you don't know how to use a certain and simple program.. get off the internet

and if you don't like the ad's there are hacks available.

if msn went down..id probly hava life..JUST KIDDINg but yah im on the computer quite abit im not one to watch tv sept for the simpsons so it takes up that time since i love my music and much never play techno hahah but i probly wouldnt really care just get an alternative..wonder why there shutting down the chat room probly from all the pervs n shit .baaaahhh yucky :tounge1:

bottom line is if there was no msn it will cause no problems for people. MSN is not the only chat program out there so stop arguing with me.
