New N rules in affect as of yesterday..

i mean doesnt america have just as much if not a mass amount of more young drivers on the road? why doesnt action take place there? why is it that only bc needs these tougher laws?

anyway, i think it should've been maybe 2 other passengers allowed in the car, but since i have my class 5 i don't really care.

what they really do need to do though is have a law prohibiting the use of cell phones while driving, unless they have the hands free mic and speaker set-up in their car

i don't understand how this rule works out... for about the next 2 years u can only get fucked over if u do somthing retarded and get pulled over.. because most ppl already got their N's and stuff b4 hand..

How are the police going to differentiate between a new N driver and an old N driver?
Are they just going to be pulling over any N car they see with more than one passenger?

these tougher laws existin in other place in north america...i beleive california nad oregon have similar graduated licensing systesms as those found in british columbia

thats a really good point. they better damn not.

so all i have to do is pass my class 5 test in may, and i wont have any problems. add to the fact my car is a two seater, so it wouldnt be that bad anyway...

uhmmmmm so you guys are sayign that people whom already have their N's are clear....
well in the newspaper on the 5th it states that there is a transition period for people whom had their N b4 this date....
so... yeah.....
TRANSIITION DATE... somene confirm.. call ICBC or something...

^^ If you haven't already received you letter, it does state that the new rules do not affect you unless you renew your license...at which point the regulations will be stated on the back of your new license and you must abide by them. For now, you are not affected by these changes.
