did u try and go ctrl-alt-del?
sometimes these programs disguise themselves as other names... if you've got XP, then go to processes, it might be in there. if you've tried that, or if it doesnt help, my best suggestion would be to backup all your important files, mp3's documents, what have you. and re-format your drive :( i know its a pain in the ass but sometimes theres no other way to get rid of that shit. and in the future, i would avoid programs like bearshare, imesh, even kazaa. mostly programs that use banners and popups (especially popups) are bad news. if you want a good program to download instead of kazaa, i suggest soulseek or DC++. neither have ads or banners. good luck :) |

oh ya
you should also try a program called zonealarm, i dunno if u already have it, but it really helps prevent other programs, computers, servers, hackers and random popup messages from accessing your computer and automatically installing. you can probably find this on soulseek or something, its pretty easy to find... if not, i have it and if you want, i could send it to you. once again good luck :) |

You don't need to formatt. Try restarting the pc, than going into add/remove programs and trying again.
Alot of the times it does that when programs are in use. Or try safe mode. You just Hit F8 on the keyboard when it starts up....one of those will work. Keep me informed. |

What op system are you on?
Do you have more than one account on this computer (administrative rights?) After you delete your unwanted programs it's time to set up your comp to prevent all the crap that get's installed through pop-ups and spyware etc... First...if you don't have a router..get one. - Purchase (laughs) or get full working copy of an antivirus program that does real-time scanning and can do up-dates. -Get the pop-companion. http://www.panicware.com/ stops unwanted pop-ups when your surfing for your pr0n. -Get Ad-aware , http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/ scans your computer for any spyware on your computer. Have all this and it's problem free pr0n surfing!. |

Also you could try disconnecting from the internet while attempting to delete the file you're talking about. It's possible that someone has the file open remotely through a share whether you realize it or not and you can't delete it while its in use.

LOL, every reply here is funny, kinda through the ass.
Sometimes useful: HERE: Find where the source files of these programs are on your comp. Then find any files that may say uninstall. Double click them. If the programs do not start uninstalling. Right click ont the uninstall files, and go to properties. Check off a box that sais Read Only. If this doesent work, resort to above advice. OR Take your pc and throw it out the widow of a 5 storie apartment. You will thank me in the end. |
