Hard to rent a place using someone elses name and info.
My mom has rental properties and I go through all the information to find suitable tenants. What is most important is verifiable income, solid references and a clean track record. If you are moving into a building owned by a management group it might be harder than if the unit was owned by an individual that you can plead your case to. I'd find out which situation it may be then go from there. |

When??
LOL! When they ask for your age, DL and SIN number. Very easy to just call up a number of places with those numbers and get information on you. Landlord might want a copy of your DL just to verify the info. Trust me... it's hard to scam the system if the landlord is anal about not having a bad tenant. Some landlords are better than others, that is why I think it is best you find out more about the one you are going to be delaing with first. |

The MATURE and responsible thing to do (which are probably 2 of the qualities they think they will find in 19+ tennants) would be to meet with the manager of the building and tell him/her your situation. If you can prove you have stable income and are mature etc. then they might be impressed by the way you handled things and let you move in a few months before you actually turn 19. Lying or cheating your way in deffinately won't help your reputation in the building.
