that's not always true, kelly
ideally, it would work that way but in reality it doesn't. i hate dress codes. for my stupid job during the holidays, my boss won't let me wear a hat. that means i'll have to cut my hair really short which really fucking lacks cuz its taken me 5 months to grow my hair this long. -s. |

I work at a clothing store, according to the work code in bc ( cant remember the name at this moment) you do not have to wear the clothes unless they provide u with them, however u do have follow the company rules. So at my work, they say u dont have to wear the brand, but u have to wear somthing u can sell that looks exactly the same. (thats how companies get around it) so basiclay u have to wear the clothes. I also noticed that if u do u get more shifts!

We have a dress code here too... I don't mind it... I like dressing all business-like. And if you work in an office environment it often doesn't matter if you have a Comp Sci degree either... you have to go with the company's policy.
It's different, though, to say dress business casual than it is to say wear "a red shirt with a black blazer over top". That's more of a uniform than a dress code and I think they should provide it. Of course, companies will do whatever they can get away with and you kinda just have to deal with it. |

Fuck, I wish I could just tell my work to buy me the clothes that are appropriate for work...
but yeah. I work in a 'professional' environment with the potential for 'client visits' (really, they're in the office across the hall..and then the others are in victoria and they occasionally visit)..so you have to look the part. But really, I feel a lot better about going to work in nice clothes than wearing a hairnet and a dorky uniform. |

ok so i don't have to wear the red shirt, and i can collect my vacation pay after 6 days from when i quit!
how bout this... the bank said they received the deposit bag with slips, but no money.....so i supposedly stole the money they're investigating it..but if it doesn't turn up, i pay for it i didn't steal it, and i shouldn't have to pay for someone elses mistake...can they legally take the money outta my pay check? |

As far as the cash, talk to labour relations as well, and don't buy anything big or deposit large sums of cash into your bank ;) |
