i'm the kinda geek that walks around town in a mini skirt and gum boots :soak: i pick my nose too, and sometimes, when no ones watching, i eat it no but really i was doing kumon for way too many years, i was forced to go to church for a couple of years, i did jazz and ballet, judo, competitive swiming, and i was a geek in elementary school and got teased all the time and i'd go home and cry |

hmm....lets see...
I was a beaver! BEAVERS! BEAVERS! SHARING! SHARING! and i never got past the blue beaver tail...and i wanted one of the cool ones that was white with a lighting bolt...i think i was held back because i was brown :P. I was a band geek right up until grade 12 and i even went to band camp :kimmie: (yes it was for percussion) I was in the audio/visual club @ Centennial. :) I spent my lunch hours cleaning overheads, projectors and working at night school. While doing this i got my hands on a master key that opened every door in the school...so i jacked tests and sold them :) And i was a sea cadet from 14 to 19...good times indeed. |

Hmm, let's see
- Chess club for a couple of years. Went to 2 tournaments, got smoked and never looked back. - Piano, 10 years. Taking a break this year for school, but I'll be back into it eventually. I learned classical, but what I really want now is some jazz :( - My mom tried to get me to learn some HAM radio skills. I spent all day with these ham radio operators @ moody park one day. That didn't fly. - I was in the folk dance club in elementary. Biggest pile of bullshit ever. - I taught catechism for a year...actually I don't know if that's geeky enough. - I was in the library club in high school. Basically the same stuff that Akeel did in his Audio Visual club. - Pep Club in high school. I once ended up going on the Skytrain wearing a really bad Robin (from Batman and Robin) costume. and that's just off the top of my head. :p biggest geek ever, right here. |

woohoo geek'r'us
i was at peer helper in grade 6 and 7..we walked around in ridiculous blue bibs trying to make everyone fit in and play with the "loners" and pretty much spread the plur. in grade 4 or something i remember i was shoved into a duck suit and had to do cartwheels and stuff for sports day. GO YELLOW DUCKS! oh lil bevie the duckie. my parents tried their darnest to get me to play the piano.. i pouted and quit in 3 months. took chinese school for years and years.. eventually pout and quited when i hit grade 4 in chinese school. CHINESE IS HARD TO LEARN..DONT LAUGH. highschool was a breeze .. joining sports and actually having a superstar team made me the coolest person on earth. :toasted: ] outside of sports in highschool i was elected 3 years consecutive the dance president (throwing dances), i was secretary of the council 2 years in a row and i was both the grade 11 and 12 rep. i was the face that everyone knew and couldn't miss. i was "miss involved and opinionated". hmm what else. i was always the MC of events in highschool.. for talent shows, daily PA announcments and heads up calls. stuff like that. i was always vocal. oh ya..with my allstar leadership skills they sent me to winnipeg for the national leadership conference. i had to pay for the flight and everything else was included. that was fun freakin trip. yea i did the 11 years of ballet and jazz thang. did musical theater for 2 years. i love the stage and lights and having eyes on me. yes im an attention whore.. i love it. u guys make geeks sound so bad.. when i was younger i used to play soccer, baseball and swim but that was all stuff that i loved to do, had my parents not exposed me to it i dont think i would have ever developed a passion for either of those activities.
asides from some day camp experiences and some of that sylvan tutoring stuff(not cuz i was dumb but because my parents wanted their lil overachiever children to be even bigger overachievers) i wasnt really involved in many activities that my parents put me into. i did kick boxing for about 3 years until i was about 17 but that was of my own freewill. now im juts an all around geek....NO GIRLS ALLOWED. Beavers, cubs, scouts.
Violin, drums and trombone in jazz and concert school bands. Still playing trombone with the SFU Jazz Band. Gymnastics when I was younger. Creative writing classes during the summer in elementary school. I think that about sums up the geekness. |

i started off as a drama geek in highschool, but got way too involved in my other art classes and just became "the girl that does art"
i was a peer tutor, and i have done alot of volunteering within the community, however i dont really believe that to be considerably geeky. i was raised in a way that if i have something to give, wether it be my time or skills or money, i should give it. in grade 12 i was voted most individual and most artistic but i turned down individual because most artistic was way more fucking important to me. i grew up at the pool, and i still spend countless hours there coaching. again i dont think that being a swimmer is geeky. i wrestled, but that made me cool i think. the whole "dont fuck with this shit" kinda cool. and the fact that i had a tattoo at 15 gave me the same sort of name. but alas... grade 9 i was a cheerleader. i was also the pre-game and half time show for the american bowl, meaning i danced with the back street boys. and on fox they zoomed in on me and my friend lisa dancing for them, and alot of my friends made fun of me.... but its a fucking accomplishment to do that. i had very little dance experience and i got to do that? dance for a boy band when they were popular? it was killer. i wore alot of vintage shit all through highschool, and because i had style that was much better then off the wall, i was uncool to some people, while others tried to copy. now i am an art student. but that totally makes me cool. |
