i think the best hair place is Henessy a lil expensive but a GREAT hair job they did my hair and my friends hair..chek my gallery too check it out...its pretty nice if you want streaks n stuff

seems like every asian gal that gets their hair bleached and lightened goes to henessy. interesting

there's a location at oakridge and richmond center..prob a few more locations as well.

in downtown...suki's of course.

Yvonne is a true perfectionist and will not do a crappy job. I don't know what it would do to get your hair done. It is best to drop by if you have time and let her take a look at the hair and stuff.

there's no 'best'..just good salons and stylists that do a good job on your specific hair type and your style

there's many good stylists around van, but when someone gives you a salon, you might want a reference to the stylist as well...they might have a good stylist, but whoever ends up cutting your hair might suck

if you want something funky, go to Nura @ Axis the one on georgia street...that's where i go, check my gallery for pics
i got it cut a couple months ago and i loved it when i got it done, and i'm still loving it after 3 months of growth
i think they have a promo like get a free hair cut if you get your hair colored and it's your first time there...ask them bout it
or if you're interested i can hook you up with 50% off with my friend Brent..he works at axis as well, and he's only been cutting for like a year and a half now but he's really good especially at layers and shattering hair

Axis is by far my favorite salon...yes it is pricey, but you get a wicked cut.
I've gotten my hair styled and cut at the one on Georgia twice and i recently got layers and highlights from Amy at Axis in Sinclair Centre. I'm definatly going back to her, she did an awesome job.

ew don't ever go to Henessey in Richmond Centre, they do shitty work! Especially their newer stylists - Sarah went to cutting school with a couple of them and I've seen some BUTCHER jobs they've done! ick

Go to Suki's on Granville (not technically downtown, but it's right there), ask for Tom for colour and Hiroshi for cut; you're looking at $200 approx.

I miss Suki's, but I can't afford it anymore =*(

i only get my hair cut once or twice a year.. i think 80 is do-able for just a cut isn't it? i recently got foils and a cut at a place in richmond..cost me... 90 +tips i duno, im not use to paying anything like that before for a cut.. but i duno i guess its suppose to be more expensive? just grow ure hair long..haircuts are too pricey.

yup, i was once an adib devotee in like grade 8-10, but then sam moved away from adib's and started his own shop and i supported him....sad i still get my hair cut in the same place...

I'm not in any ways fashion inclined. But Tech 1 in Yaletown always proves to be fun. Though maybe that's just because Laura works there. But she does make me look good.
