Pets...
I've been thinking a lot lately that I want a little critter. It gets lonely in my apartment sometimes :(
I love all kinds of animals from rodents to snakes to exotic pets to cats. I just can't seem to decide on what I want. I was thinking a ferret... but they sound like a LOT of work and time and I'm a fairly busy person. I'm not down with a puppy b/c I live in an apartment and I'm not really a huge dog person... I prefer kitties =) I was only thinking a reptile of some kind like a ball python maybe. There's a lot of really cute lil rodents out there too... maybe I'll get a pair of degus. Hrmmm... What kinda pets do you guys haves? What do you like/dislike about them??

I have a big fat cream coloured cat named Sammy, and he's the shit
Seriously, the guy is huge, I fear the cat that tries to step up to him cos he's a gangsta. haha. I got him because my friend's uncle passed away and the cat needed a home because an adult cat at the spca will most likely stay there for far too long... Sammy is fun because he's lazy and cuddly, but can be totally playful too... Ideally, I'd love to have a dog, a big dog. However, until I have the time and energy (and adequate yard) for one, it's only fair to wait it off..if you're at a time and place for one, I'd always reccomend dogs, because dogs are really the best friends you'll ever have (cats rule, but they're snobs!) and someday, i'll have a pet penguin.

i had a pair of degu's, and there so cute! And it's really cool, because they can learn there names, and they are very tame. you put your hand in the cage and they walk up to you (once they get to know you) but there fairly easy to take care of, and they make wonderful pets! But then there's cute little kitty's...and it's so great to come home from work and have a cute little cat sitting on your bed waiting for you. pets are so great.

I live in a 1 bedroom apt and i have two hamsters and a cat, they get along fine for some reason (my cat must be a little fuck in the head) anyways, yuo can go wrong with two hamsters (2 so they dont get lonely, jsut make sure they are the same sex and there were born together, that way, they will very rarely fight).

I used to have teddy bear hamsters... one of them was an uber bitch that was my brother's she'd eat fucking anything. She escaped and we never found her but we'd hear her scrurring in the walls sometimes and saw her once or twice. My hamster escaped and I found him the next day frozen to death on the pool cover :(

no he's not fluffy
but he's really big and cuddly to me...he lets me sleep on his tummy and when i'm cold he cuddles with me and when my feet are cold he sleeps on my feet and when i'm sad he kisses me over and over again. wherever i go, he follows. he's so cute. but most people are scared of him. and if people yell at me or if someone hits me, he freaks out and eats their face. he's my bodyguard he's about 110 pounds. he's a big bundle of cuteness.  oh and last year, me and my faghag Jess bought two fish. one was a siamese fighting fish and the other was a gold fish that looked like a hammer head shark. it's eyes were on the outside of its head. it looked like an alien. the lady at the pet store told us not to put the two fish in the same tank. but whatever....we figured it couldn't be that bad. the siamese fighting fish was named Jailbait and the goldfish was named Slobadenka (named after this ugly beast girl on our university's volleyball team). and one day i was in class and jessy phoned me on my cell and said "there's been an accident..." and i freaked out and ran home...and i looked in the fish tank and jailbait had eaten slobadenka's eye!!!! so we put jailbait in the time-out tank...a little tupperware container. and then later on that night we got drunk and we decided to see what would happen if we put them together again...we came home and slobadenka's other eye was gone!! and she was dead. we were so mad at jailbait. so jess flushed him down the toilet...the death penalty, if you will. -s.

3 dogs...a 15 year old springer and a 1 year old springer(shes is a fucking terror, but a wicked dog). also a 4 year old neurotic doberman.
and a 15 year old cat. stick with the rodents is my advice, they cant eat anything much bigger then a sock.

I have a Belgian Malinois named "Boots" he's my first dog and he is the shit. He's smart, fast, obeydiant, and trained to attack. He stands taller than any German Shepard and his breed typically runs 2nd behind border collies in agility racing. He's a big baby now but he was originally purchased, not by me, as a guard dog. aww isn't he cute :kimmie:

I used to have 3 kitties. cats are pretty independant and soo cute too. i suggest a kitty. but if u really want a rodent I would say a mouse. they are really cute ! I used to have a little white mouse that I loved so much, I saved her from being eaten by a snake cuz she was the tiniest mouse out of all of them in the tank at the pet store where ppl buy them to feed their snakes <--*cringe* I felt so bad for her and had to buy her cuz she was only 6 dollars and I fell in love with her the second I held her . her name was Algernon from the book "flowers for algernon" even tho that mouse was a boy. but anyways... she was soo sweet and cute, I even bought her a mouse maze thingy for her birthday and she loved it. but my sister killed her by accident one day
 :soak: . ya . so u should get a kitty or a mouse, something cute cuddly and furry whether it be a little mousy rodent or a fat cat.

i have had many pets..... alot of birds, in fact home doesnt seem like home unless if i hear a bird somewhere, countless fish, two turtles (my femal killed my male) i had an aikita and he was the fucking best dog ever. he wieghed 120, and at the time i was only about 90 and he was my gaurgiand through and through. i was the only one that he obeyed on leash to, he was amazing. i have two cats right now, and they are beasts, but i love them. one hates the world, while the other goes around loving it. and i have a little dog as well and shes super.
if you want something independent i say get a cat. they still show affection, will play with you, but you can leave them alone for a day and not feel super guilty.
