Dine out Vancouver - Reviews
So I have been taking advantage of the offers from Dine out Vancouver and so far have tried a couple of the restaurants.
Mi Bar- Food was alright, same with service but for 15$ I couldnt really complain. Kind of like going to the Keg with a smaller selection. La Terrazza - Food was very good, service was excellent. Really nice atmosphere. A definet yuppy hang out, if thats your thing. 25$ well spent. I would recommend going there before Dine out Vancouver ends on the 5th. |

hmmmm i dunno if this will go under the same subject, but theres a cool lil place in kits, on wesbroadway. called Elwoods. Its soooo good, after 11 pm they have all these appies for only 5 bucks, and they got some other GOOOD munchies for like 8 bucks. I used to live in montreal and i always look for a place that sells good authentic montreal poutine, not the bull shit they sell at mc dicks or BK or KFC. This thing is MASSIVE, sooo good, with choped up green onions. 5 BUCKS!!! soooo good, i recommend u goin there after a nice sesh ifin the area. its like 2 blocks after Mc Donlad street right beside that pita pit place.

ouest/west: really good food, but i don't dig the atmosphere...i'd go once in awhile just for the food tho
lumiere: i really really like the place! the food was excellent...but it's really not worth how much they charge :finger: provence: yum...the food is good, specially for the price, but it's nothing you can't create at home within a couple hours. watch out the floor is effing slippery :soak: water street cafe: the desserts rock! food is decent, but it's all bout the bread! |

Gotham Steak House - The best place in VAncouver to get a steak and also see a celeb. The Vancouver Canucks frequent this place.
Griffans at Hotel Vancovuer - I didn't go for dinner, but I had Sunday brunch her. Mad expensive, but its exquisite. Imagine having lamb and salmon for breakfast. The omelets there are an experience. And the desert table, it’s a chocolate lovers dream. |

i posted this already in 'da sweet stuff' but apparently this is now the dine-out review thread, so.....
i just got home from chowin down at griffins, which is downtown inside the fairmont hotel. talk about fancy shmancy. the great thing about this place was that instead of choosin just one appetizer you get one trip to the appetizer bar and can load up. the same goes for the desserts! the meals were far from spectacular but the appetizer bar made up for that. |

went to the new west boathouse yesterday, right after the superbowl, and stuffed myself with succulent seafood.
to begin i split a half dozen raw oysters, which werent part of the 'dineout deal' but were so damn good! then for my appy i had a bowl of seafood chowder seafood pasta for my entree and to top it all off, cheescake for dessert this was by far the better of my two ' visa dineout 2004' experiences. |

Went to Cloud Nine on Saturday, and it was ok. The food was mediocre, but he service was pretty good. The cheese cake for desert was by far the best part of the meal. All in all I dont think it was really worth the 25$, but atleast the revolving part was interesting.

^i kinda understand where they're coming from but it wasn't exactly busy and i've checked out 4 restaurants through dine-out vancouver and the other 3 were awesome, and guaranteed i'd come back.
oh and i totally left a lame ass tip. i think it was around 4% ok, so i was at horizons yesterday, i've been here and it was awesome again. appy:Lobster Bisque, Poached Prawn and Chive Chantilly woo this was good. like fatty mcfatterson good. not too salty either entree:Sauteed Jumbo Prawn Curry, Apples, Peppers & Cilantro, Basmati Rice and Papadom this was very very good. tons of prawns, and a really good lighter curry. dessert:Port Wine Poached Winter Pear, Caramel Ice Cream, Nut Praline ok seriously i can't describe how good this dessert was. and i'm not a big dessert person. but FUCKIN RIGHTS doggy that's good dessert. i really recommend it here, i mean service was good, the view (on bby mtn) is killer and the food was so dang good. haha i'm such a fatty. woo go cheap good food. |
