i'm sure we'd all be so upset if forsberg or sakic got hit by ruutu.
that was not a vicious hit by moore. ask yourself a question, the kid hit nazzy, nazzy's head was practically at waist level. what do you suppose moore should have hit nazzy with? bend down and use his shoulder? or stick out his hip? nazzy practically headbutted this guy's elbow. most of the damage was when nazzy hit the ice, his helmet, like most hockey players was so fuckin loose, it just flailed around allowing nazzy to smack his forehead on the ice. forehead on the ice? he plays with a visor, how do you suppose that's possible? had he used the helmet properly he'd have been fine. but since i'm a canuck fan, um "kill moore" or something. |

It's not so much that the hit was dirty.
I'd say it was borderline, could go either way. It was the fact that Moore (a nobody) nailed Naslund (a somebody). It's an unwritten rule that every hockey player knows : don't go after the superstar. You never see guys like Sakic or Yzerman or Linden drop the gloves, because they are class. You don't see guys try and goad them into a fight, because they understand that. Moore broke the rule. He must pay. |

As a canucks fan id say kill moore! But seeing it fomr an un biased view Moore's hit wasnt dirty and he didnt exactly do anything wrong. Nassy put himself in a situation where he was vulnerable and thus got laid out. Like karl said nassy pretty much had his head sticking out and theres nothing Moore could of done he had a job of finishing checks. Even Nassy himself admitted this and didnt call it a dirty hit. but none the less revenge will come and revenge will be sweet.
