Rave Scene after Plaza is gone?

So what do you people think will happen after Plaza is officially gone. I know its not the end of the world and i know Plaza isnt whats holding raves together in this city but what if there isnt a suitable venue to replace plaza? PNE is obviously not an option to replace it cause you cant fill it up all the time and you definatly cant use that venue as much as you do plaza and expect to break even and not lose any money. Just wondering what peoples input is on this.

dude,,, if you think plaza has a big efect on the rave scene, you live a sheltered life.

You know there's almost a 1-2 raves a week end? Heck in last summer I often did 2-3 gigs a week end my self, and I'm sure there was tons of show ether way to big for me to do, or many that I did not even hear about.

Put up a tent city, rent some gear and throw and outdoor massive @ Lost Lagoon in Stanley Park.

Parykids come and partykids go, venues come and venues go, only the music is forever.

^^I agree completely...if people don't go to parties just because they no longer have the plaza then they were going for the wrong reasons.

Ya I'd have to agree too. But I think plaza's the only venue that brought people back just for the venue itself. Hope that made sense...

I wish the UBC arena was still a go,,, or Plan ice, did not end up so jerky... hell even the Colossus out in Langly almost hosted some parties.

Of all venue's I miss the most the Theater-E is still the top on my list of place gone and missed.

we are spoiled with the plaza of nations. Not many other places have a venue like that. I have no worries. this just means sumthing new and interesting to come. I like surprises. I predict that after some new SUPER venue is disclosed, people will forget that plaza even existed.

i've heard about that from an undisclosed location... and i know that that same guy got caught with 100 caps at the door, and the guard said to take them and leave or go in and leave them, so he took the bag and stompped them to dust and chucked em in the trash said OK... the guard was shocked nonetheless...

thats really to bad that the plaza is shutting down:( ive only been to two plaza parties and i might only get to go to one more:S but its soo good that i even had the chance. But i believe that evreyone will put there thinking caps on and figure out a wicked place.So im not so worried.

psst, genius. There was great parties before plaza, there are great parties right now, and I don't doubt there will still be great ones 'after'.


It's not that the plaza is being shut down that bothers me, but it's how completely melodramatic people are being about it. It's pretty ridicilous.

People obviously didnt read what i said. I said i know Plaza isnt the center of the rave universe for vancouver and i know its not the end of the world im just asking what u think it will be like after its gone. Does this mean there will only be small parties? or what? jeez
