More or less, most locals or nobodies can rock the house just the same as some big name. But because we are told they're better we some how treat it as specal.

This is what really eats at me about people talking about "talent" at the Plaza of Nations.
So far the only people that have at all consistently brough fresh original and talented acts that actually do something different than the locals has been Agroculture. And Agroculture is down with the smaller parties as well. Not to mention Dave's a little cutie. *wink wink*
I'm miffed I missed Keoki this year, but last year I was definately there to catch Rabbit in the Moon, just because it's a group of exceedingly talented DJs who don't just do the same thing as everybody else (it was a mild let-down, though... that's my review of it. Was nice, but could've been oh so much better).
I remember seeing Baby Doc & SJ a few years back. And man oh man was that a show that bit. SJ being almost the equivalent of a Jungle MC (whilst being a lot hotter) and Baby Doc pressing play on his DAT and waving his hands in the air a whole bunch. Glad that for most of their set I was busy smuggling Dale back into the party and pissing off security in general. And to think that it was probably one of the more "different" sets to hit up the Plaza.
And yeah. As far as I can remember they've never booked Hawtin to play at the Plaza of Nations. So oh well.
