DEFINATELY!!! everyone has the right to freedom of choice. love is love whether its oposite sex or same sex. if your in love and want to get married even if it's with the opposite sex no one should deny you that right.

YES! Why the hell not? They have as much right as anyone else. Now as far as religous figures being forced to marry them. I'm not too sure about that one.

Your assuming all religions/religious people are of that same view. Theres many religions in canada, so why should one be able to tell the others what it can and cant do? I dont think a church should be forced to perform gay marriages, just in the same way i dont think a church should be denied the right to perform one.

You don't have to be married in a religous way. You can get married at city hall. By some one who has nothing to do w/ religion.

Not only is marriage a spiritual thing but it's a legal thing. If you're married and you're partner dies you have rights to their pension and what ever other benifets come w/ being married. That has nothing to do w/ god. Are you telling me that if two gay people have been living together for 40 years they shouldn't get the same legal rights as straight people?

Did that come out right or make any sence?

but i think it should be illegal that the ones that do get married can make any priest or pastor of a church wed them..cuz isn't it against the law for some church guy to say no to doing their wedding cuz it's discrimination? but it totally goes against their religion so some freedom thing must be broken there too..

no one should be forced to marry anyone really. I'm sure it would make it harder on a gay couple to find someone to marry them, but if you were getting married wouldn't you want it to be by someone that doesn't think your union is disgusting and immoral?

There are people out there that will more than gladly wed a gay couple. Which I obvioulsy think should be alowed, as a free adult it is your right to be able to marry anyone you want (within the reasonable laws ex: no children etc.)
