I guess it really depends on the persons motives, I mean there's always going to be those people that are in love with the concept of fame and will attempt to pursue something with a person in a position of recognition to make themselves feel popular or loved.
Those people are usually the more insecure ones, being with someone who is well known or recognized gives them a feeling of accomplishment and makes them feel "special" and accepted. It's the same psychological profile as those people in highschool who sacrifice everything they have for an ounce of popularity or approval. Then there are those people that just appreciate the fact that the DJ is so passionate about music. I'm a big fan of fine arts.. music, acting, any kind of performing arts.. it's all in my blood and it's so nice to see other people that are passionate about the same sort of things. I don't think that the Dj title would make me more attracted to a person but I guess it does make me see them in a different light just because they have similar interests and have the same appreciation as me. However, I can see how that could make someone else more attracted to the Dj status. All in all, it really depends on whether the intentions are in the right place, and the only person that can determine that is the person themself. In regards to the jealousy issue, of course it can be a concern but it's part of the package, I can see how flirting would be crucial in the promoting aspect of a Djing career, and that should be discussed at the beginning of a relationship. Once two people come to an understanding and trust is established then there shouldn't be any problems, unless one of them breaks that and there is reason to be concerned. |

DJ's are normal people... and second rate musicians. Wait! They don't make music.. they just play other peoples music. Unless they produce.. then I give props.
-jay :209: Yes.. I'm bitter.. because I'm a musician.. and don't get half the pussy that a DJ will get. Just goes to show ya that you don't need talent to make it big. |

i don't agree with peeps dating people cuz theyre dj's
its so shallow, pathetic and low class (sorry for my heirarchial bullshit) i've heard a saying from a great entertainer i have come to know very well and he said "i wanna be with a girl i can take home to my mother." i follow that too. djing should be a passion of letting go your emotions and doing something deep with creating great things by selection and taste, not an easy road to get raver pussy. sorry but i haven't been raised that way. |
