travelling
i want to go away this summer, for at least over a month (leaving mid june, come back before september)
i'm thinking of flying to somewhere in europe, then backpacking it down too thailand..actually anywhere in that area (india, vietnam, malaysia), as long as it's cheap and fun, but ideally thailand :p i haven't done much research, but i heard it's cheaper too fly to europe? i've already been round europe, so i can skip it...but i wouldn't mind going back, especially if it means a cheaper plane ticket either way...i wanna hear some stories bout what others have done where'd you go, how much did it cost, where'd you sleep, was it safe? i'm planning it like i'm going alone, cause other people are so unstable , would it be safe going alone? any info would be great, i'm just trying too get an idea of where to start in planning this trip... :284: ..and if this doesn't work, i'm thinking south america this fall/winter |

DO IT!
i spent 6 weeks in thailand last summer, and after the first 3 days of "oh fuck, im on my own in a foriegn country"pure adrenaline rush, i felt fine. i met lots of solo travellers while i was there, many of them women, and heard maybe a few bad stories. i would totally recommend it. i suggest if you only have a month, go and see as much of SE Asia as you can. fly into Bangkok or Hanoi, then maybe leave from KL im Malaysia. that wouold be a fun trip. reasonable cheap too. add me to ur msn if you wish..i had an amazing time and love to talk about it:P [email protected] oh and im sure you could find open ended round trip for less then a grand, you just have to look...really hard. |
