Pagan ritualism? Voodoo? New Age Hippie Magic?

So my upstairs landlords are a pretty cool pair - they're in their early thirties, full on neo-hippie types (she teaches some form of theraputic dance at a wellness centre, there are frequent sounds of drumming/ chanting comming from upstairs, lots of incense/ patchouli/ other hippie smells around, fertility idols in the garden, ect.). So anyway, I go to leave the house yesterday, and neatly aranged perfectly equidistant from each other are three pennies on my doorstep. Very deliberately placed. All 'heads up.'

We're on great terms with them, so I doubt that (if they put them there) they're of some malicious intent. But still. Very mysterious.

Well... with them being heads up, chances are it is designed to bring good luck into your life, or into the house in general.

Had they been heads down, that woul have been a different story...

I like how everybody gets freaked out when someone does any form of prayer that isn't in a Church on a Sunday and reciting a bunch of words they don't understand.

I think I'll go glue some quarters to the ground outside your door.

While I'm at it, as I'm pagan and everything, I'll curse you so that the Alligators in the Sewers come out of your toilet and eat your babies.

WEIRD! in the elevator at work someone had put pennies in all the corners on top of the marble. all heads up too. they were gone the next time I got in OK :O
