^ i've been wanting to read memoires of a geisha.

reading "choke" [chuck palahniuk] right now.

just finished "girl, interrupted" [susanna kaysen] the other night.

"middlesex" [jeffrey eugenides] was a really good book. not sure if it's been mentioned already, i didn't read the entire thread.

after i'm finished choke, i'm going to start on "the last time i wore a dress" [daphne scholinski]. heh, can you tell i get excited when i go to the library?

Choke is a damn good book. I love Palahniuk, i've read/have all his stuff. I have my copy of Choke signed :)

I read Middlesex too, that's also a damn good book. i have his first book 'the virgin suicides' but haven't got around to reading it yet.

i haven't gotten very far into choke yet, but so far so good. i still want to read fight club. i love the movie.

i've got the virgin suicides and middlesex. i read the virgin suicides first and decided to pick up middlesex after that. anyways, the book is good.. but the movie is just.. not so good. the book is much better.

now the plan is to read memoirs of a geisha after the last time i wore a dress. good thing i've got a job! hah

haha this is why i've been keeping myself away from chapters! especially when i've got money to spend. it's so bad, but so good at the same time.

for serious.
i'll spend hours in there at a time and buy something. so i've been keeping myself away from there. it's the only way to control myself!

for now, the library has been doing me good.

i can't use the library. that's like using public washrooms for me, only in book form.

i need to own my books.

just finished:

A heartbreaking work of staggering genius by Dave Eggers

i'm sure some of you have heard/read it before. really good book and a good read if you're looking for something that doesn't stick to the normalities of novel writing style.

"White Oleander"-Janet Fitch
if you liked the movie you'll love the book.. it takes you to places that the movie never could. you get to see the world through the mind of a very troubled young girl trying to make it in a world that she has never had to see through her own eyes, only her mothers. the book draws you in and makes you feel like you are living in Astrid's (the main character) world.
