ideas, facts, theorys, lessons, what have u learned recently?

for me,
I've learned about using compression, EQ, active crossovers and effects in live sound situations.

and most recently i learned not to try and light a roach that went out while its in ur mouth, damn that burned.

picking up a little more on php language lately, I wish I could advance my photoshop skills into the scripting aspect (wow, you can make some nutty shit) but my computer at the moment wont' allow for it.

outside a personal computer?

im trying to learn more about myself and the way I act/treat others. sometimes I can come off poorly and completely dissassosiated from the people im around. trying to make oneself more aware of your actions and how they affect others isnt easy.

and im learning to be not so crazy around my friends and with my lifestyle, settling down and working harder at what i need to do, instead of partying 24/7

psych100 was awesome.. i had this short crazy irish guy who made it fun, with games and shit haha.. "you remember more when you read it before you sleep, or if u read it multiple times" thats about all i remember... we watched a movie about some guy who got his brain lobes severed, so he would like couldn't see something with his right eye, but his left hand could draw it or something weird like that.

I also learned that my supervisor is an asshole and that I trust people too easily..ill admit, sometimes, i can be a real tool...

PERHAPS from a sociological perspective, psychopathic persons would probably be explained as people who were ill-socialized in their youth.. or were unable to conform to the norms of society.. perhaps due to the lack of some sort of an influencial institution of socialization, such as the family..

IN OTHER WORDS, I have a sociology exam tomorrow and sociology has taught me that REALITY IS A SOCIALLY CONSTRUCTED CONCEPT.

I'm not trying to be argumentative here, but that's exactly what I didn't learn about psychopaths. So I'm just curious as to what class and school you learned it in. Maybe it's a sociology vs. psychology thing?

u didn't like the recording arts program at CDIS? i'd kill to go there...
my friend who's an idiot just started there, failed a couple courses.. and he's such an idiot. i've corrected him on many occasions to do with mic techniques and things i've learned on my own by reading on the internet. he made fun of me cuz we record live instruments onto tape. and how his school has "all the uptodate equipment".. but really its what u do with what u have. its small 5-8 person classes at douglas.. the teacher repeats things alot, patient, lets you learn. and really gives u some valuable insight into live sound recording and setting up live PAs, i'll soon be taking the higher up courses to do with mastering etc etc.. and for by myself i'll bedoing a little private study over the summer along with some lessons to learn more isntruments, so far i can only play the guitar..

I did not learn that in any certain class, but I'm just applying certain things I learned in 100 level sociology and trying to apply it somehow.
