Canucks vs. Calgary

god dammit.. why do people keep telling me we are better with hedberg in the net? BULLSHIT.. he's got a fraction of ice time as cloutier this year.. and cloutier was really looking sharp/confident the last game run before the playoffs and the 3 playoff games he played in.. i really hope hedberg proves me wrong

Today's canucks are defensivly falling apart. First period was alright but the second period was bad. Especially the shorthanded goal and even worse the second goal by calgary.

The canucks would get most likely scored on even with clouts.

i knew as soon as cloutier went off the ice this was gonna be REALLY bad.. i just hope our team really steps it up a notch and finally gets some goals to take some pressure of hedberg.. or else hedberg is gonna go to sleep tonight with "heeeeeedberrrrrrg!!!!" ringing in his ears.. and this could be REALLY bad... jebabsdhavbcvasuf v32875 30g 487gsjfb asbfyasvf s@!#!@#@#%

I doubt the canucks will score 3 goals in the third.... i just think the canucks got caught flatfooted, and wasn't able to compensate for the way calgary changed their forecheck.

The canucks will have to regroup and figure out another strategy for game 5

It's a team game, kids. Hedberg is doing pretty well. First goal was REAL pretty.... I give total props for that one. Third goal wasn't Hedberg's fault. It was Allen's if anything.

Ok....can someone please explain why we (or any team), pull our goalie when we have lost 3-0? I mean, sure it would be nice to score at least one goal, but it's the playoff's.....points don't really count. Even if we had scored, the bottom line is that we still lost. :344:

I would rather have lost 3-0 than 4-0.....is it just me? Pulling our goalie seems like a way to make things worse.

Like you said, points don't matter.

If we're going down, we're going down. But if we can pull off 3 quick ones, we're probably going to need the extra man.

Six game series against calgary? I thought it would be done in five tops.

Only thing worse than losing , is losing to the Flames.

That was painfull to watch.

I think the idea was to get us on the board if only to take the shutout away from calgary, and try and start rebuilding a little bit of confidence.

I hate when people automatically blame the goalie. Yeah, Hedberg let in some goals that he shouldn't have, but the rest of the team wasn't playing well either (if you can even call that playing..).
Calgary came out and worked us. Simple as that. I don't know what Vancouver was thinking last night, but the Flims were all over them and it seemed like they didn't really care.

why did we pull our goalie, because were desperate for the win. if we lose 7 nothing its the same as losing 3-0. The coach will do anything to try and win, if losing is enevitable its means nothing to let them score an extra goal.

Would you be saying the same if we scored 2 goals and had lost the game 3-2. I bet you, you wouldn't hehe

no doubt eh? bottomline not one canucks was good, bottonline we didn't try enough. We didn't play with passion, we got outworked and outhit.

If we are to win, were gonna have to play like were losing 2-0 everygame.

Well, at least crawford was playing.

I love it when he gets creative with strategy like that move w/ hedberg out of the net for a 4 on 6 with like, 6 minutes left.
