tanning beds and too much sun are evil. they give you cancer and worse-- wrinkles. do you really want to spend all of your money on botox? no. pale skin is pretty! cherish it!! ...yesterday i wanted a tan becuase lately ive been really pale, and i stayed in the sun for too long and got really sick. not fun.

i didn't realize how dark i was getting till this morning, i'm fucking dark it's getting outta control :/
either way, this is what the people from fabutan told me....they only use the regular lay down beds because the other ones (standup booths) increase the different uv ray output to decrease the amount of times but they're giving you the extremely harful kinda rays that are more likely to give you cancer then there's the beds with the extra face tanning, cause your face is the hardest part to tan...same deal as above iwth the bad UV. if i were you, i'd stick to regular lay down beds, start at about 5 mins and increase by a minute each time if you don't burn, until you get to a point where you see results. if you burn, take a couple days off till the burns go away then go again but at a lesser amount of time. use a indoor tanning lotion at all times! there's 3 different types of lotions... there's the regular lotion that's just like a cream, there's the bronzer lotion that has color in it and it gives you a fake tan that washes off when you shower on top of the tan you get from tannning, then there's the stimulator lotion that stimulates your skin to tan better. i love the bronzers, but they all smell like shit so i opt for the regular lotion cause the stimulator normaly burns people which i don't want. use goggles to protect the eyes, don't borrow them from the salon cause that's dirty and they only cost bout $5 so that's not bad. i hope that helps you out. i go to fabutan, i get unlimited tanning for $24 a month. |

Don't tan. It might look nice, but you'll regret it later on down the road. It's very damaging and even a bit overrated. What's wrong with having a fair complexion? Why do all these girls (and chaps too) think they have to rush out and get themselves all brozned up like a hotdog? Do it too much and by the time you're 40 your skin will look like a saddle bag.
Dare to be...fair! I guess. Heh. |

Hey girl, not sure if this is an old thread or not but I have info about the airbrush tanning. It's inexpensive and non-damaging. UV rays and sun are very bad for your skin. Airbrush tanning is simply made out of a sugar called DHA that coats the top layer of your skin, as the skin sheds the top layer, the tan goes with it and fades like a real tan. It does not turn your skin orange it is a nice honey brown colour. Mystic will turn it orange if anything. The outcome will obviously depend on the product and whether the solution is good or not. Theres alot of cheap products out there so you have to look for a place that uses the best product. I will be buying the Dinair system from California that they use at the Emmy's and alot of TV shows. You can look it up on the internet www.dinair.com. I plan on working at Sundeck near Metrotown hopefully beggining next month(June 2004) If you havent tried it by then, stop by and we'll talk.
People who dont tan and have very fair skin are not recommended to tan in the sun or in UV beds, as they are prone to burning. |
