Veni,
Hotels put all groups on the lower floors if they can cause they're the shitiest rooms - that is maintainance doesn't worry about these rooms as much as the individual guest rooms on the higher floors. Who gives a shit what the room looks like if that guest is a foreigner who will only come to the hotel once in his/her life. The hotel only cares about impressing the overnighter - and if you've played your cards right, you'll be paying a really cheap rate - so they'll try to put you on a lower floor. Standards for fire suppression in modern hotels - that is built after 1985 - are so stringent that I'd be confident that my hotel could handle a barrel of oil blowing up in our lobby with no fire damage. |

i want to contribute..sadly i am only knowledgeable in retail crap..so here goes it.
if u ever decide to buy a pair of nike shoes.. keep your receipt and if the shoe ever breaks/falls apart (no matter what uve done with them) within "reasonable" time, you are allowed to call the nike customer service line..and they'll send a list of shoes and u get to pick a new pair. kinda neat eh? dont abuse it. ive had tons of customers show me the shoes they've got through the system and i know a few ppl whos been "trading in" their shoes for the past 4 years. (now thats abusing it) when buying shoes (athletic shoes)..CHECK FOR THE DETAILS. stitching/glueing...especially the size of the shoes. ask the workers exactly what the features are of the shoe and what type of feet its for and if it's suitable and exactly how it SUPPOSE to fit. when a worker gives you a replacement insole to try on.. its not a sales scam, it is actually better for your feet because 80% of the shoes come with a compressed air insole which flattens out after 3-4 wears. yes shoes are crazy expensive now.. but if u compare a higher priced shoe to a less expensive shoe, there is usually a reason for the extra price (not just the look of the shoe). i know tons of loop holes in gap inc, but i doubt too many of u care. They used to sell hundreds of HP computers until they got in shit from HP for doing so. What these units were are refurbished units (DOA returns) and they were selling as new. If you look carefully at them now Able puts stickers over the HP logos and still sells these untis. Whatever was dead on the systemboard... video, audio, network, etc... has been replaced with an add on PCI card and the dead port will have a plate screwed onto the dead ports external socket. I have had so many people buy these units and then have had ongoing problems with them. The funny thing is that people will get into a bidding frenzy and pay way too much money for such a piece of junk. |
